Never stop learning! 🤓
I loved school, not only because it was the place I got to see my friends every day but it was the place where my passion for learning was ignited. I was literally like a sponge and wanted to take everything in and know all the answers to all of my questions. I must have been a very frustrating kid to teach, but why miss, but why? 🙈 In my adult life, aside from the studying I do in my full time job, I am always researching and learning about social media, about fitness about pretty much anything and everything! I get bored easily and there is only so much time you can spend in the gym! 😂
Today I learnt a lot, I was continuing the modules in @laurentickner
course and I cannot recommend it highly enough! If you want to learn how to make your online business a success, invest in this course, invest in yourself and see how much of an impact you can make, I dare you! ✨

Lake Retba / Lac Rose 🌸
With its very high salt content, the pink lake compares to that of the Dead Sea. Its vivid colour is especially visible during the dry season (November - June) and less during the rainy season (July - October).
This natural wonder was made famous to the world by the Paris - Dakar rally raid 🏍 and the locals extract the salt to use it in food and cosmetic products 💅🏽
I took my first and last bath in it when I was 3, as it burned me not knowing I had to be prepared for such a dive 😂
Also, until not so long ago, I kept firmly believing that one could walk on the lake. Now I know 🙈

As someone who has attempted to save someone who is dying, the story of Junior has struck a deep, sad chord. The human brain operates in a really funky way when emergencies are taking place, and it’s extremely important to know what is happening and how to deal with it so that you can be prepared to help if something does happen. If you truly think that an emergency can’t/won’t happen around you then you might as well not leave your house. Terrible, horrible, traumatic things are taking place all day every day everywhere, and it is actually more rare to not witness it or become a victim at some point. Always use your eyes and ears to assess any new situation you enter to make sure things are not wrong, ALWAYS keep your phone on you so that you can call an ambulance, and NEVER assume that someone else will take care of the problem. Period. It is also extremely easy to get CPR/ First Aid certified, and once you are continuously go over the steps in your head. For me these simple steps have become a no-brainer but that is because of my own experience. Doing something is better than doing nothing. I urge anyone who reads this to educate yourself on how to prepare and act in the event of an emergency. I’m not saying that this stops violence, but it does in a lot of circumstances save lives. #justiceforjunior #wehavetodobetter #educateyourself
Ok, y'all come get your friend. 😂
• Listen to others. Learn from past mistakes. Watch YouTube videos. Follow inspirational social accounts. Relate to quotes. Yes we do all these things on a daily basis, thanks to easy access to anything at the tip of our fingers. But here's the catch- KNOWLEDGE requires effort. It requires you to put down your phone and pause your social activity. It craves for you to stimulate the mind, by reading and understanding and growing. As an entrepreneur, you have to hold valid and strong beliefs about your passion and your mission. You have to educate yourself in the field that you want to be a master in. You have to be business-smart and able to speak to others professionally whilst being your authentic self. If you've been putting off reading for a while, let us give you some motivation. Think about it. There are thousands of books written on nearly every business problem. Reading and familiarising yourself with them is guaranteed to relate to your way of thinking somehow. And it will only grow your understanding. Just like you have these enlightening conversations with your friends that make you feel inspired and more aware of things. The same is with books. Try it! If you'd like recommendations, feel free to DM! 😝
Scared to step foot in the gym? Afraid you’re going to get “too bulky?” If this is too bulky, sign me up💃🏻!! In all seriousness, the amount of misinformation and false statements out there is astonishing. Let’s clear some things up⬇️.
✨Females do not have the hormones or the ability to gain the amount of muscle it takes to look so-called “bulky”.
✨Eating lots of food WILL NOT make you fat. Food is your damn friend, not the enemy. Your body will store fat if you aren’t feeding it enough. Your metabolism is going to be shot v quickly if you’re eating low calories & then you will be farther behind on reaching that lean or “toned” look you’re aimlessly searching for. Educate yourself on portion sizes and a well-balanced diet. 80/20 rule friends.
✨How do I maintain a lean tummy and gain a solid amount of muscle at the same time?? YAH DON’T. Yah can’t stay extremely shreddy & expect to put on lots of muscle. Not gonna happen. Endless cardio isn’t the answer. PSA: yah can’t spot reduce (wouldn’t it be nice tho lmao).
✨How long will it take? It’s going to take a lot of time and patience. Quick fixes aren’t gonna last so don’t even waste your time. FIT TEA IS NOT THE ANSWER!! Enjoy the process and appreciate the changes you’re seeing daily.
Changing your body is meant to fun, it’s exciting to watch, and it’s extremely rewarding. You can do anything you set your mind to do. Set yourself up for success from the start. Take a sustainable, attainable, and maintainable approach. Each day you put in the work, you’re one step closer to your goals. Don’t be too hard on yourself. Enjoy the process. Don’t take your ability to move your body for granted. Fuel it properly. Do what yah love, love what you do & the rest will fall into place. More on this topic coming in a BLOG POST later on this week so stay tuned👀. Now for a relaxing night with some flixxxx and nomz before a v long week ahead🎥 🍿. Happy Sunday babes!! #gainingweightiscool #mythsvsfacts #educateyourself #pickuptheweights #twopostsoneday #howboutdat

heres the tea 🍵 yall - diabetes mellitus is a term for a group of disorders that cause elevated blood sugar (aka glucose) levels in the body. glucose is a critical source of energy for your brain, muscles, and tissues. when you eat, your body breaks down carbohydrates into glucose. In a negative feedback loop, this triggers the pancreas to release a hormone called insulin, which is the key that allows glucose to enter the cells from the blood, thus decreasing the blood sugar levels in the body. If your body does not produce enough insulin to properly manage glucose, it cannot function or perform properly, resulting in the symptoms of diabetes.
Last shift as a Standard First Aider yesterday at the #Manitoba
Highland Gathering with @rileymdodds.
In September I will continue my volunteering and become a Medical First Responder. I love helping out in the #community
and being able to assist in many situations with St John Ambulance.

. I actually had to use it a few nights ago when I got home to find a neighbor on the ground outside in a pile of rocks and a pool of blood. She tripped and fell and cut open her forehead a good 4-5 inches across. I was able to deal with it calmly, get 911, and keep her safe until help came. It’s training you hope to never use, but so glad I can use it when I need to. Everyone should get First Aid training! 🚑🏥

There will not be a magic day when we wake up and it's now okay to express ourselves publicly. We make that day by doing things publicly until it’s simply the way things are.
No matter who you love, what gender you accept as your own, what label you wear proudly, or what labels you reject, I’ll be here to support you. Love is love. People are people.
Sign language helps to bridge the gap between those who can hear and those who cannot. Using a collection of hand gestures and symbols, sign language is an effective means of communication that provides the deaf and those hard of hearing a way interact with the world around them. Learning and understanding sign language isn't just for the hearing impaired—it's also for those interested in being able to communicate with the hearing impaired. Sign language is not difficult to learn, and surveys show that a need for those who can use sign language is growing in business and around the world. Here is the basic sign language alphabet to get you going! #missdsa #missdeafsa2017 #missdeafworld #hearingimpaired #beingdeafisnotahandicap #educate #cochlearimplant #educateyourself #bethankful
. If it’s not your bags, your skillsets. In a down market, it’s your core skills that will save the day. Have a partner as a sounding board? Even better. There is only room for five strategic alliances. Use them. You will never know everything. But asking the right questions will save you from costly mistakes. #educateyourself #educationrulestheworld
This is SO important to watch. Abortion rights are being restricted in the US and still illegal around the world. Listen to the stories of everyday women- stop the stigma that abortion is for “bad” people. This is important for men too- think about the repercussions of not discussing contraception or of just cuming into someone. Your actions have consequences also. A point that needs to be made when anti-abortionists attack solely women. Can watch on #vimeo
Done and ready to print. So much meaning in this one! TBA. ✨🌻✨ #linocut #wip
