I just made a batch with baby spinach, kale and basil. Yum!
We love our pesto...
❤️served with vegetable sticks
❤️spooned over steamed green vegetables, fritters, chicken or fish
❤️used as a dressing on salad
❤️stirred through pasta
❤️ spread on some sourdough with some feta, tomato and rocket,
❤️folded through scrambled egg ❤️served on baked potato.
I make it with pepitas so it's lunch box friendly too. How do you like to eat pesto?

Even though I am sad for our area to lose what is usually an enormous revenue weekend kicking off summer, I am excited about four days of rain to get caught up on my mile long To Do list. I began chipping away at it today as I perfected some new #ketocookies
for the blog. My variation of Snickerdoodles took on a beachy theme... because well... Florida. I’ll be sharing them soon, but man I love when my job calls for taste testing cookies all day - especially when they do not blow my diet! 🙂🙃😍 Happy Friday Night friends!

If not, check it out! It’s about 240 calories for a 55 g serving, so if you do half of that, it’s the same as other granola brands out there (and for approximately the same amount)! The only difference with this granola and others I’ve seen is the fact that the ingredients are all non-gmo and the taste is great...win win!😉
👉So just an idea and also a point... whenever you read the nutrition label, make sure you analyze not only the macros but the serving size! One brand may show that it's less calories, but that’s because it’s a smaller serving size on the label!

This wine and cheese plate doesn’t look like too much but it’s a combination of some of my favorites from all over the globe. The blue cheese, white cheddar, and truffle goat cheese come from @fromagerie_ceneri_cannes
, a specialty gourmet cheese store that’s highly regarded in Cannes, France and has a huuuge selection to choose from. The truffle honey🍯 is from @beekindhoney
which I found at the SF @ferry_building
but they do online deliveries so I highly recommend trying it. Their truffle honey has the strongest truffle flavor of any I’ve tried yet and comes with a whole slice of truffle submerged inside. The wine is a #Chianti
from Italian winery Collezione Di Paolo and the remaining fixings are from my local @wholefoodslosangeles.

There's something oddly satisfying about a well-executed plate of fried rice. I remember a few years ago, a Taiwanese pop singer came out with a song called "egg fried rice" and one line of the lyrics was "hey egg fried rice, the simplest and the hardest to make right." Don't know why that popped into my head, but this Yang fried rice with char siu, tiger shrimp, asparagus, and egg from @imperiallamianchi
was definitely delicious. I did feel like something minor was missing, perhaps it just needed a little more flavor, but the rice was perfectly grainy, firm, and had a delightful aroma. I'm a fan! ·

When I say half of your plate (or more) should be covered with veggies, this is what I'm talking about. Why? Eating foods that are rich in micronutrients is essential to good health. Foods that are naturally rich in micronutrients are also naturally rich in fiber and water. They are also naturally low in calories. By eating more nutrient-rich foods and fewer high-calorie, low-nutrient foods, we naturally lose weight and optimize our health. And the more high-nutrient food we consume, the less low-nutrient food we crave. The less low-nutrient food we crave, the more weight we lose and the healthier we become. Simple as that! Here I got some grilled zucchini, mixed greens ( arugula, spinach, sunflower sprouts ), red onion, sunflower seeds and mini bell peppers tossed in 1tsp olive oil and pinch of salt.
