I started this page in 2013 as a foodie account but, lost touch with that side of me which loved baking which is why you won't find my old pictures here anymore. Last month, I got the ‘Can't Believe It's
#Eggless !’ book by
#PoojaDhingra & suddenly a wave of nervousness swept through my feet.
What if I don't remember to
#bake anymore? What if I burn something? What if no one likes it? What if I simply end up wasting precious ingredients?
So, I decided to start with the one
#recipe that didn't require baking (the book has no-bake recipes too), looked the easiest & attracted me the most in terms of imagining what it would taste like & eventually I'd move on to the ones that required
#baking or more cooking time or some additional skills, etc. just to get myself back in the zone.
This
#CoffeeMousse requires just 4-5 easy ingredients & no cooking or baking is needed so anyone can make it within a few minutes!
The original recipe in the book is for 4 servings & has quantities in grams so, I converted it into a treat for one person which can be made without a kitchen scale. Also, it called for boiling the cream but, it's difficult to do it when the recipe is sized down for one person so I recommend heating it in a double boiler instead.
1. Take your
#amul butter out of the fridge to let it soften.
2. Heat 2 big tablespoons of amul fresh cream, half tea-cup of white chocolate chips or chopped white chocolate & 1 teaspoon of coffee powder in a bowl on a double boiler & keep stirring in between till the chocolate melts & mixes evenly with the rest of the ingredients.
3. Now take the bowl off the stove & add 1 teaspoon of the softened amul butter in the
#chocolate mix & whisk to mix everything together.
4. Now fold in 2 big tablespoons of amul whipping cream or any whipping cream in it & mix well.
5. Pour the mixture in a bowl/glass. Chill for 1-2 hours to let it set. Enjoy!

My whipping cream was chilled so the
#mousse only took 10-15 mins to set. I know you want to ask me if you can use any other chocolate, coffee, ghar ki malai, etc. & I'd say that you're not on MasterChef & it's coffee & cream & chocolate so, you can do nothing wrong!! Just have fun ☺️
