I wish this picture could show the inmensity of this place, the height of this dune on which I sit, and the utter peace and silence we enjoyed in the middle of the Western Desert.
I’ve been thinking a lot about starting a platform for travelers interested in discovering Egypt. Not that there isn’t a hundred of them already, but I find that every time I talk to people about the less-known amazing treasures of this country, they are shocked and excited and have never heard of Siwa, the White Desert, Marsa Alam...
I hope these images and stories are at least a way to show people the diverse and unique corners of this land I now call home!
And I say it’s basic survival
In a world so patriarchal
with my brother was a bit surreal. i'd been in the city 10 years before, also on my first trip to europe, wide eyed and totally enamored. this time i got to see way more of the city and create totally new memories. i think it's safe to say i'll be back again, too. anyways, this is an adorable sun-drenched corner with a serious #plantproblem
, isn't it?

Hiked up to Kerry Park over the weekend and couldn't resist taking a snap of this Pacifc Northwest gem ♥️ also, I watched Sleepless in Seattle last night (🙏🏼 Amazon Prime). Apparently, I am vibing this city right now 😂
Midday in Beirut ✨
“After the civil war,” our guide Hassan tells me, “the government decided to give powers to each of the warring sects so that a war like this was never to repeat. Today, there are Shiite, Sunni, Christian, Maronite Christian, Druze, Armenian, and secular parties in government.” He pauses. “But they’re all thieves anyway.”
I really enjoy murals and street art in cities I visit as I feel like it’s a representation of the artist culture. Long Beach has some really great art to explore outdoors by extremely talented people. Two of my favorites are the all black and white and the one with all the furniture and items flying through the air. I think we had the most fun photographing with them ❤️❤️ I had such a great time in Long Beach and met the best souls 😘😘 @powwowlongbeach @visitlb #ad

Heading home after a long and strenuous day fishing...
The rarely visited east coast of Sri Lanka boasts some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. It's jagged coast sits along one of the world’s finest natural harbors. The waters are soothing and free of debris and the sand is unspoiled and pristine. Still recovering from it's recent war, we are happy to hear that this glorious place is beginning to thrive again.
This picture was taken during our stay at the Nilaveli Beach Resort in Trincomalee and we cannot recommend it highly enough. @nilavelibeach
Do go if you ever get the chance.
In my stories will be the clips from the Sri Lankan fish market that didn't make it into my last post. Be prepared for A LOT bigger fish!
I might’ve missed the grand opening of the Hoxton in Williamsburg, but if the Paris property is any indication of what I should expect, I think I’ll like it.
Positioned on a sandy esker—a long, serpentine hill deposited by meltwater leftover by retreating glaciers in the last Ice Age— Arctic Haven sits in an uninhabited region of the Canadian Arctic Archipelago’s rugged, albeit fragile, wilderness.
The only hiking boots I’ll ever use to hike and scramble up mountains. My sister is a bonus to remind me to eat enough food along the way. (I decided this photo needed more than 24hrs!) #chaconation
Traveling through this country with the love of my life, who is Egyptian, has been an endless source of blessings.
Being a local, speaking the language, understanding the ways has allowed us to see corners off the beaten path and enjoy slow moments of bliss that are far from the touristic path.
These are the date palm orchards in Farafra, a gorgeous environment of muted green in the literal middle of the desert.
It’s our last days in France! Obvs made one last cheese and baguette run and took a stroll through it’s charming streets. 💘 Now if only my suitcase would just pack itself... 😏 #theprettycities
A year ago (almost), I packed slightly bigger bags than the ones I use for travelling, and I moved to Egypt.
It’s been a crazy ride in a crazy country, and while I sat yesterday reading about the idea of slow travel in Egypt (brought up by @vanilla_papers
and her hashtag #SlowTravelEgypt
), which is something I live by and adore talking about, I decided to finally share this series on one of the most amazing places I have experienced in my life.
Welcome to The White Desert, a magic place made from dreams, silence and calcite limestone, shaped by wind and sandstorms.
Let us show you some of the most insane landscapes we are able to imagine.
And zoom into those rock formations until you see the jeeps. That might give you and idea of the scale!
after a dreamy holiday are always a little bit harder, aren't they? dreaming of sipping a spritz with this view right now, as i continue the endless quest to see my inbox go to zero 🙈🍹
Monday, Monday 🌿🍂
How is it the start of the week again already?! It was just Friday, I swear 😳 is it too early to look to the weekend and be dreaming of exploring the PNW?👣🌲
You say I’m full of rage
I say I’m simply woman made
The neoclassical Manila Central Post Office designed by Juan Arellano and Tomás Mapúa in 1926. The building is quite run down, but still remains as a historical and architectural landmark of Manila. #Manila #Philippines
