Last night, the Cisco CCNA course AdalegIT is running at @bellworks
(in Holmdel, NJ) finished their coursework! 👏 From here, they take their final tests and then go on to get certified. (Note: two very ambitious students leapt ahead of the curve and already took certification tests and are now certified!) 🙌 This is an impassioned, intelligent, and capable group of students who will be a gift to their future employers. #it
So far I'm 0-2 on interviews to job offers, one position I was slightly overqualified for, the other, I didn't meet all of the qualifications, but I've always kicked outside my coverage, if you feel you're under qualified apply anyways, let them make the decision, you might be strong in an area much more desirable than the one you're weaker in. Something professional I always do when I get that dreaded "We have decided not to proceed with your application" is send a follow-up thank you email asking for advice and feedback, what could I have done differently? Any feedback, good or bad, can better prepare yourself for the next interview, and the extra step can make you stand out to the employer, you don't know if you were their second choice, and if it doesn't work with the person they chose, you'll most likely be the first person they call, thanks for coming to my Ted talk .

Today I was chatting with a working dad who was telling me that he got grief for working from home so he could watch his daughter who had been up all night with a temperature, while a colleague who was waiting in for a delivery was fine!
I wanted to say welcome to the world of the working mother! As I’d definitely been in his shoes - fully supportive manager when I worked around hospital appointments and chemotherapy sessions, while supporting my mum in her cancer fight, but not allowed to work compressed hours to be able to balance my 2 children under 3 dilemma!
The HR professional in me felt the need to explain the rational of an employer wanting full focus on the task in hand, but to be fair what parent with a sick child is 100% even if they are in the office?
From personal experience, you get more hours out of an employee who’s home working with their sick child on the sofa, because they’ll keep working to get the task completed, even if it’s outside of office hours!
If you can’t trust your team, you shouldn’t employ them!
There are plenty of ways to check your team is being effective when working from home. More and more organisations are forcing staff to work from home, at least one day a week.
Give working parents a break, trust me going to work is generally a welcome break from the children, we only ask because we need to!
Have you ever questioned when a 1572 must be updated or a new 1572 completed and signed by an investigator to reflect new or changed information?
Well good luck! We have the answer from the FDA FAQ website! 🤓🤓 There are two instances when it is necessary for an investigator to complete and sign a *new* 1572: (1) When an investigator is participating in a new protocol. (2) When a new investigator is added to the study.
If there are other changes to information contained on a signed and dated 1572 (e.g., an
IRB address change, the addition of new subinvestigators, the addition of a clinical
research lab), the investigator should document the changes in the clinical study records
and inform the sponsor of these changes, so that the sponsor can appropriately update the
IND. The 1572 itself does not need to be revised and a new 1572 need not be completed
and signed by the investigator. The sponsor can accumulate certain changes and submit
this information to the IND in, for example, an information amendment or a protocol
