Up Mt. Sneffels at first light, and back at my comp working by mid-morning! Lavender Col is so steep and loose, but this is definitely favorite summit to date. San Juans are just amazing.
Creativity was lacking a wink after my workout this morning but none the less have to show off my favorite protein! It’s my new goal... for 30 DAYS straight, I’m sharing one of the oils or products I use during the day 🤘🏻 so you can see Young Living is just Oils - it’s about a life style y’all.
So why do I love it? Pure protein complete is my fav protein - and I used to work at GNC.... I’ve tried aaaa lot of supps.
💪🏻 25g protein with an optimal 5-protein blend of rBGH Free Whey, Goat Whey, Pea protein isolate, Egg white protein, & organic hemp seed protein
💪🏻 FULL amino acid profile
💪🏻 elevATP: ancient peat and apple extract to support the bodies production of ATP (your cellular energy fuel!)
💪🏻 ITS DELICIOUS. Flavored naturally - it tastes like the chocolate milk from your childhood 👌🏻 with a low sugar content to boot.
So why get protein from an oil company? Well - like I said... it’s a lifestyle, not just about oils! Choose a company that cares and it’s trustworthy y’all!
Here’s why you should get your supps from a trustworthy, ethical, caring, and science driven company...
👆🏻 One: you know they source the best high quality ingredients with no chemical adulteration. Nada, zip, zero. That’s why I trust their concentrate proteins. 🤯
✌🏻 Two: they have an entire science and research division dedicated to formulating the best research backed - products with their high quality and ethically sourced ingredients! Umm hello, what other protein supp boosts ATP??? 🤩

Making my own almond milk is incredibly satisfying. I soak my almonds overnight, toss out that water and add a fresh cup and blend. Add more water if you like it runny. I like it thick and I don’t strain it either. You can add maple syrup to sweeten. 💖Next up is my cashew milk. 😄🌱👍👍

Lateral plank walks. .
Simple but effective in working the whole body.
✳️ Starting in a high plank position you will already be working your core. ✳️ Also the lower body through engagement of the glutes and leg muscles.
✳️ The upper body has to work to keep you off the floor as well as coordinate balance and movement.
💪🏻 Make it harder by adding longer walks or push ups at either end.
As you may know, I’ve been going to therapy since about November, when life was throwing one test at me, after another. I served 4 years in the Marine Corps Infantry, had a rough childhood, got divorced and have been in law enforcement for about 11 years.
At the time, I was also in the process of voluntarily amputating my right leg, below the knee. The mindset I had to be in, just to give the specialist the ok to remove my leg, was intense. Adding a divorce to the plate, at the same time, was starting to seriously rock me. It took me about two years, just to be mentally strong enough to get to that point.
I was trying to go about this alone. After a while, life just got to a point, where I needed to vent to a professional, to get some serious, serious stuff off of my chest.
From the time I started therapy in November, until about February, my therapist said I have grown and improved at such a rapid rate. She said, I had done the equivalent of 4 years of therapy, in just those three months.
On this most recent visit, my therapist said I had come so far. She said I have drastically changed from the person who walked in her office in November. She said my eyes, my smile, my attitude and my posture are completely different, from what they were back then. She said it’s difficult to believe, I’m even that same very person. She mentioned, If the old me walked in the room today, she wouldn’t even recognize that person.
There is some healing still left to do but I should be all healed and clear from having to visit her, here in about 3-4 months.
I’m really, really excited! I’m happier than I have been in a very long time. I’ve been told, my smile and the “Twinkle” in my eye, have came back.
My therapist said she has very little left to teach me. She said, I’ve been teaching her, in a lot of ways.
I can’t wait to finish and to be healed!

1 Samuel 16:14-23
14 But the Spirit of the Lord departed from Saul, and an evil spirit from the Lord troubled him.
15 And Saul's servants said unto him, Behold now, an evil spirit from God troubleth thee.
16 Let our lord now command thy servants, which are before thee, to seek out a man, who is a cunning player on an harp: and it shall come to pass, when the evil spirit from God is upon thee, that he shall play with his hand, and thou shalt be well.
17 And Saul said unto his servants, Provide me now a man that can play well, and bring him to me.
18 Then answered one of the servants, and said, Behold, I have seen a son of Jesse the Bethlehemite, that is cunning in playing, and a mighty valiant man, and a man of war, and prudent in matters, and a comely person, and the Lord is with him.
19 Wherefore Saul sent messengers unto Jesse, and said, Send me David thy son, which is with the sheep.
20 And Jesse took an ass laden with bread, and a bottle of wine, and a kid, and sent them by David his son unto Saul.
21 And David came to Saul, and stood before him: and he loved him greatly; and he became his armourbearer.
22 And Saul sent to Jesse, saying, Let David, I pray thee, stand before me; for he hath found favour in my sight.
23 And it came to pass, when the evil spirit from God was upon Saul, that David took an harp, and played with his hand: so Saul was refreshed, and was well, and the evil spirit departed from him.

I’ve been thinking a lot about perspective lately. .
On our way out to the Olympic Peninsula last weekend we got stuck in some road work. It was a two lane road that wraps around one of the prettiest lakes in WA. But we all had full bladders and were trying to get to the trailhead before it got too late. So as we sat there not able to move, we were getting more and more frustrated by this roadblock. .
Until it dawned on us; every time we drove past Lake Crescent, we wish we had more time to spend there. And here we were, stuck with gorgeous views but not really appreciating it because our focus was on the road block. .
We couldn’t do anything about the construction but wait it out. Instead, what we could focus on was the beauty surrounding us. .
How often is life the same way? We all have road blocks pop up, maybe you’re in the middle of one right now. What would happen if instead of focusing on what we can’t do, we focus on what opportunities this road block offers us? Time to learn? A lesson to help us grow? Even just a chance to strengthen our endurance?
It’s all about perspective and what we to focus on. Because remember, we can only focus on one thing at a time. .
So what’s your focus? .
