It’s true, I love to workout. I get up at 430 to do so and I honestly don’t mind it. (Knowing I have Energize downstairs waiting helps a bit, too 🙂). But today really wasn’t that day for me. And I admit it threw me off. I had no work due to thanksgiving break having started, I was taking care of my very sick 4 year old, stressing about what to do for thanksgiving now that I had a sick kid, etc.
I woke up with a wicked headache and had no idea what the day would bring. I drug myself downstairs, did my pre workout routine, and still was not feeling it. I then thought of something my coach had told me a few weeks back. “If you’re already there, you really have only two options: tell yourself how bad it is and have a miserable time, or think that you’re already there so do what you can to enjoy it! @donaldstamper
was talking about something completely unrelated to fitness, but it worked so well for me this morning, too. I was already awake, dressed, “Energized”, so why not just do it with a slight shift in my mindset, and try to enjoy it as I normally do.
It wasn’t my personal best, I feel a bit how I look here, but that’s life. And I don’t regret it one bit.
I chose to embrace the hard, not give in to it.
