I promised myself after my sister survived that “I would have higher standards for the people I have/ let into my life”.... Therefore, I am letting go of Dude2... Even though he drove an hour and 1/2 to the hospital to “support me” it wasn’t enough. IT’S NOT ENOUGH having someone tell you they don’t have the capacity to love you, it’s not enough having someone tell you they don’t need you but like hanging out with you, it’s not enough having to go without texts or calls in times of need or just at all, it’s not enough to wonder all the time when our inevitable expiration will be, and it’s not enough to feel disconnected, unsatisfied, unworthy, unimportant, used, sad, tired....negative negative negative. When the negatives double the positives it’s time to say good bye, it’s time to take control, and it’s time to KNOW YOUR FUCKING WORTH! My time is precious, I do deserve to be LOVED HARD and TREATED RIGHT and I do have so much to offer. Oh and I have a date already..... Xx Jess
Where is the line between owning our sexuality and letting others exploit it? Often times I see women owning their sexuality and that results in them being called disgusting or being called a slut. This form of repression against women is a result of our patriarchal society as well as media. As a woman in our society today, it is important to understand the repression and work our hardest to fight against it. Women, stop shaming other women in the name of modesty! As women we need to support each other...We are harassed enough for being sexual, while at the same time we are pushed to be sexual. Which explains the fact women are told not to breastfeed in public (“boobs are just for men’s entertainment, you can’t show them on the streets, THERE ARE CHILDREN WALKING AROUND!!”), or rape culture in general (“okay, but what were you wearing?”). The hyper-sexualization of women is quickly spiraling out of control. Women are constantly shamed for how they look. If we dress in clothes and bathing suits that fully cover our bodies, then we are labeled as "prudes" or "unfashionable", but if we keep up with trends that happen to show off a little more skin, we are labeled as "sluts" and told that we are "looking for male attention". Just stop already!! #rantover
Excited for Bati l’Gani (I Entered My Garden) to be performed by @jparkerh
as part of the Concert Across America to End Gun Violence tomorrow in Columbia, SC (Main Street United Methodist Church). The @concertacrossamerica
takes place Sept 23rd, the date designated by Congress in 2007 as a day of remembrance for murder victims. This nationwide event will bring together a network of organizations, activists and artists to remember the victims of gun violence across the nation and in each state.
When you have had enough you have had enough.
On September 4, 2018 I was told that my son is a social misfit who is afraid of his classmates and has no friends.
On September 4, 2018 I was told I am a crazy military veteran.
On September 4, 2018 my doctor wrote me note stating, “(I) suffer from a neurological condition which stems from (my) interactions with the Town of Carlisle, MA and the Carlisle, MA school system. I gave the note to the principal, who informed me fully understands.
On September 19, 2018 after getting approx 30 hypothermic needles in my face and head for the neurological condition I received a phone call from that principal harassing me claiming, “I think my son is special and the rules don’t apply to him because I would not allow the school to punish my son for what they termed was a “innocent” act of bouncing a ball in class when he was instructed to bounce the ball.
My son looked at me and said, “ it’s time”. He filed immediately and I placed the school on notice that the named individuals were to have no contact whatsoever with my son.
I have been interviewing attorneys to handle the civil aspect while I continue with the administrative and Civil Rights aspect of this situation.
Can’t make this up 🤯🙄 If any Carlisle, MA parents want a copy of the complaint my email address is in my bio I will send via email. If you are a Massachusetts Attorney and would like to discuss let me know.
