Does anybody (please No YouTube) have a tutorial on cutting a continuous strip from a large piece of fabric? #epiphyte

Gesneriaceae. Costa Rica.
In a few days I'll be flying to Florida. I'm extremely excited for the botanical and horticultural adventures I have planned there, and can't wait to share my photos here. I'll continue posting photos from my travels within Sweden's greenhouses, gardens, and wild areas until then. This is a Florida native orchid Prosthechea cochleata at Gothenburg Botanic Garden.

This is a commonly found epiphytic orchid endemic to the western ghats of India.
The labellum of this species is slightly pubescent and greenish in colour. Pseudobulbs relatively short with inflorescence(s) arising from nodes/leaf axils.
Numerously flowered, this species is (mostly) devoid of leaves when in flower. Usually seen in moist deciduous forests.

Oncidium 'Wild Willy' is just on the verge of opening some fragrant blooms. I find oncidium orchids are quite simple to grow as long as the specimen you purchased didn't come with any hitchhiking disease. In general, orchids love high humidity coupled with good airflow, so in the winter I run an oscillating fan on low in my room with most orchids in combination with a humidifier. You don't want wind blowing on the leaves necessarily as it will dry them out, so just clicking a fan on a low setting off in the background somewhere will be quite helpful. Having good airflow can help prevent diseases from manifesting on leaves, and this goes for nearly all houseplants. People who have problems misting their plants and wind up getting foliar diseases generally don't have good air movement in their gardens. As far as summer goes here in Michigan, it's nearly always very humid and I don't have central air, so I only have to run a humidifier about half the year.
