Remmi and I are kicking off 2019 with some EXCITING news!
Honoured, proud and (VERY!) excited to announce that this year we’ll be working alongside the fantastic team at @omegaequine
as Brand Ambassadors.
It’s no secret that we’re already Omega Equine super fans; The brand, the products and the people are just AMAZING! Having such a knowledgeable, supportive and encouraging team choosing to back us really does mean the absolute world and we’re really looking forward to the year ahead. #BringItOn #BigThingsInThePipeline #Grateful @daisyhoneybunn
Been very very grateful of these beauties this weekend... ☔️💨💦
When I first mentioned them on the vlog a month or so ago I’d only worn them the once so couldn’t fully “review” them... it now seems I have worn them pretty much every single time I’ve been in the saddle and not necessarily because it’s been torrential rain but because their “wind proof ness” (is that a word🤔) keeps me super toasty and warm, I now feel like Im not properly dressed if I don’t have them on and not just for riding but for yard work too ~ I’ve certainly found that chores are much less chore like when your cosy & warm, just a shame it’s taken me 33 years to realise the importance of dressing correctly!!
I never used to ride in waterproof trousers as they would make me feel slippery in the saddle and also make you so HOT ~ but not these they are such a nice fabric, breathable and fit neatly inside my boots meaning the lower leg stays nice a secure too 👌

This little dink gave us hours of fun this afternoon... Bless his heart 💞
He massively needed a bath as has been getting progressively more and more itchy scratchy over the last week or so poor lil man.
I’m hoping it’s just because he’s grimey and it’s so mild down here. Pray it’s not mites can’t see anything in his coat but washed him with a medicated wash just to make sure.
We all got rather wet 💦
And yes of course we vlogged it 🎥
These gloves certainly came in “handy” (sorry couldn’t resist) this morning🧤
Our first frosty morning of 2019 here in Cornwall ❄️
I will admit to feeling a little smug when I took these out of the wrapper & tottered out to the yard. I normally keep all my gloves out in the tack room by which point my hands have already frozen by the time I’ve got there.
But as it hadn’t been cold enough to wear these yet they were still in the house 🙌 #itsthelittlethings
So let me tell you a little about them, they are the newly released @woofwear
“Winter Glove” designed specifically for yard work/dog walking as opposed to riding in.
When Ali suggested I might like to try a pair I was a little dubious purely because I LOVE the Precision Thermal gloves & have lived in them for the past 3 winters with no problems whatsoever ever (And I don’t like change!!)
But even after only wearing these once I can now see why the clever team at WW HQ designed them...
For starters the precision thermal aren’t waterproof ~ these are 💦
The Hipora waterproof & breathable membrane means you can wash out buckets, rinse off boots etc with out getting damp fingers!!
The extra long cuff means no gaps between glove & jacket, 80g cotton insulation makes your hands toasty warm but keeps them light enough to not feel bulky & what’s best is they come in 5 different sizes XS up to XL ensuring you can get a snug fit, there’s nothing worse than trying to do jobs in gloves that are too big for you (as I just end up taking them off!)
Oh & I didn’t mention the silicone grip on the palms... this made pulling the haylage out of my big round bale (that I wrestle with every evening) a doddle!!
When there’s frost on the ground I don’t ever not put hay out as I dread the thought of impaction colic. I was in a huge rush this morning as had over slept my alarm... and normally take my gloves off to wrestle with the bale but the grip on these really helped me pull it out 💪
I’m now praying the cold weather continues ~ I love a frosty morning ~ especially when you have the right clothing to keep you toasty warm ~ chores definitely seem less of a chore when your snug as bug!!
▪️To de-fluff the Remington!
Now I know Traditional Cobs aren’t your ‘typical’ jumping type but I know for certain that yetis aren’t ~ We can’t turn up for jumping on Sunday with one of those!
Obviously my automatic instinct was to caption this “If only he knew how much he means to me”
But the thing is... I think he does!! 💞
“The scariest moment is always just before you start”
But doesn’t that feeling as you cross the finish line make the fear in that start box oh so worthwhile!!
Well actually if you zoom in here I think I might even be smiling but that’s no surprise I guess as we do have the best cross country starter ever here in the south west!! Good old Keith is amazing at calming the nerves ~ bless him.
Only 8 weeks to go and it’ll be time to go Eventing 🙌 and after a very positive mindset coaching session today with @flyingchangescoach
I am BUZZING for the season to begin #bringiton
Massively missing spending time with this one...
(The one on the right ~ not the one in the middle 🤣)
Pony party plans have commenced but in the mean time I think we need a little social outing as we hardly went anywhere in 2018 and haven’t spent any of Xmas together 😢
to when we went to @liverpoolhorseshow
last Christmas... As we haven’t vlogged for a while I have added the link in the bio to the LHS Vlog from 2017 ~ makes me giggle at how much the vlogs have changed, Em never used to like speaking on camera (now I can’t stop her!!🤣) they were ALOT shorter back then, think this one was only 7 mins and the music was pretty awful🙈 thank god for Epidemic Sounds!! #lifeontheleftrein #equivlog #emteeeventures #liverpoolhorseshow #tbt2017
stirrup covers!! 5 stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ •
There is nothing worse that rolling up your stirrups when they are dirty! Or having big clumpy ones like myself and they scratch your saddle!! After getting my new saddle in September I have taken my stirrups off after every single ride, because I’ve been too worried I will mark or rub my saddle 😪
But then I found these beauties 😍😍 I met the lovely Sarah from Finer Equine whilst at Olympia and fell in love with her products!! So I went back the next day and got myself a set of stirrup covers! •
They have literally changed my riding life! I now don’t have to worry about taking my stirrups off each ride, or forgetting them when we go to a competition or putting them somewhere and forgetting where 🤦🏼♀️ •
They feature an eyelet in the middle which is perfect for running up your stirrups and putting the leather through! This is next to impossible when your trying to run up free jumps but the stirrup bags make it so easy!! 👌🏼 •
They also have fully waterproof lining so if you’ve been for a gallop along the beach or a blast through the mud your saddle will still be protected as all that dirt will be hidden away! And it’s really easy to turn them inside out and wipe away the dirt with a damp sponge.
I was a little worried when I got them home that they wouldn’t actually fit my ginormous free jumps inside them!! But they have a great elasticated top that opens super wide and then pings back to secure your stirrups in place! 👌🏼👌🏼⭐️ •
And lastly my favourite bit of all!!!! The sheepskin backing 😍😍😍 This obviously provides a huge amount of protection to your precious saddle!! Finer Equine also stock beautiful saddle covers which you can ride in and very practical bridle bags!! And 🤞🏼🤞🏼 I will get one of these beauties for my birthday!! #omegadiaries #finerequine #saddle #stirrupcover #equestrianfashion #equestrianstyle #equivlog #horsebloggers

Home and back to reality (work!!) today after a FABULOUSLY amazing 2 days at @olympiahorse
🎅🏻🎁🎄 It was lovely to be reunited with my All Star bud @diary_of_a_dun
Did you manage to catch out @horse_and_country.tv
Instagram takeover?! It was a jam packed 2 days filled with shopping, ponies, food, gin and laughs!
The biggest thanks go to all the amazingly wonderful team at @omegaequine
❤️ It was so lovely to catch up with you all, you guys are just the best!

box?! Every month each box is filled to the brim with treats for both you and your pony! From skincare to alcohol, horse shampoos to tasty treats for your equine friend!
Whilst it’s too late to gift one of these boxes to someone this Christmas it’s not too late to sign up for January’s box ~ Why not treat YOURSELF this New Year 🥂🖤 Sophie10 will get you 10% off your first box too 😉 #forelockandfringe
Hands up who has a @fairfaxandfavor
item or 3 on their Christmas List 🙋🏼♀️ If you have Boots 👢👢on there & your umming and ahing over which style then I may be able to help you ~ with my favourites 💞
👢Rockinghams ~ purely because they go with every single outfit you could ever wish to wear ~ jeans, skirts, dresses, shorts, leggings they literally look good with every outfit!!
👢Amiras follow very closely behind in my choice of favs ~ they to me are the smartest, I have them in tan & navy and they compliment the majority of outfits, they are my go to choice when heading to a “classier” event (that said they also ended up in the middle of the mosh pit one night at Badminton 🙈) They are the highest heeled pair of F&F boots yet you wouldn’t know it to wear they are extremely well balanced and feel just like wearing my Reginas.
👢 The Reginas were the very first pair of Fairfax & Favor boots that I invested in, contemporary yet classic especially in their “Trademark Tan” although have you seen the new “Oxblood”😍OMG what a beautiful colour!! I have the heeled Reginas and absolutely love them, they are my most worn pair as I wear them every day to work! They are extremely comfy & super warm, again look great with both dresses and trousers ~ personally I feel they give abit more of a “smart casual” look than the Amiras.
And last but not least in my ever growing collection I have the
👢Imperial Explorers a spontaneous purchase at Badminton prior to the Kitty King course walk, again as with all the other pairs I was super impressed at how instantaneously comfortable they were and didn’t require any breaking in, I will admit I haven’t got much use out of them since as we had such a hot summer and with the ground being so hard I was able to wear my Rockinghams but have since worn them on foggy walks and beach outings and quite literally wonder how I managed to survive last winter without them!! They have most amazing grip with their “Vibram” sole and are waterproof which makes them a fabulous alternative to wellies when you want to be stylish but practical.
So come on I’m intrigued which style are top of your list?? #fairfaxandfavorboots #whichareyourfavorite
Hands up if you’ve caught up with this weeks @omegaequine
All Star Academy!
Without giving too much away (for those who haven’t seen it) I think it’s fairly evident that I’ve been putting all my efforts into getting Rem #SuperFit
and not myself!
LOVED the opportunity to have a sit on Duchess (the mechanical horse!). I had a feeling I was wonky but it was really interesting to know just how wonky! @fit2rideuk
gave such a interesting and knowledgeable insight into the world of rider biomechanics and equipilates!
Next week, we leave the ground 🚀
Will we be a show jumping star pupil or do our wings need clipping?!
It’s all in next weeks JAM PACKED episode!
#OEASA @charlesowenhelmets #Fit2RideUK
Just me and my favourite doing what we love 🖤✌🏻I’m still absolutely BUZZING after our fab day out last Sunday ~ Rem certainly knows how to put the biggest smile on my face!
Keep your eyes peeled ~ VLOG round up of the day is coming very soon.... 🎥👀 #BDJump #IdealSaddles
💙Quadrille at its finest💙
Never In a million years did I think I’d be uploading a Vlog titled “Voulez-vous coucher avec moi, ce soir?” But I have & it’s a good’un even if I do say so myself 😉
Mainly because of the awesome ladies and their pro ponies that feature in it
Full Vlog Live on YouTube ~ Enjoy 🎥

Vlog is pretty much done... 🙌
Just awaiting the seal of approval from this one ~ who is working all the hours God sends as per usual!!
We’re two-thirds of the way to becoming EVENTERS!!! Remmi was INCREDIBLE at Combined Training today ~ He warmed up beautifully and produced a stonker of a test for 70.69% (good enough for joint 2nd after dressage!). Slight lack on control in the SJ ~ He was absolutely WIRED and I forgot to change his bit! We had a few near misses but luck was on our side and we ended up with just 4 faults after he ploughed through fence 4!
Absolutely buzzing with 3rd 🥉It was a fairly sizeable class and we finished up just behind 2 pros!
Little bit excited to be spending the day with this one today... off to the #southwestequinefair
for some Quadrille fun 😍
Throwing it back in the picture to 3 years ago at Bury Farm when Emily played Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz & we slept in a tent in Zero degrees for 3 Nights!!❄️(The things I do for this woman!!!) But what will she be dressed as today.... keep an eye on the Insta stories 🎥
So buzzing to see their routine...!!

~ Being given the opportunity to ride the beautiful Amo and equally handsome Stanley was hands down one of the most INCREDIBLE experiences of my life!
Amo is one intelligent lady; she doesn’t take any prisoners and she definitely taught me a thing or two (or five!!) about myself 🙈 I’ve certainly never thought of myself as a ‘good’ rider, just your average joe but it’s very easy to feel like you’re doing an ok job when you ride the same horse day in, day out so this was a real eye opener ~ Thank you Amo 🙌🏻 2019 aim, to get my butt onto some different horses, I just need to find some willing volunteers first!
9pm Sunday 2nd Dec on @horse_and_country.tv
Did I eventually manage to get a tune out of Amo?! How did I get on with the gigantic Stanley? The schoolmaster episode is definitely not one to be missed, the horses are PHENOMENAL!
The biggest thanks must go to Pammy Hutton and to the incredible team at @tallandschoolofequitation
for turning them out to perfection👌🏻They all looked STUNNING!
An unplanned dismount was not really what I had in mind today BUT despite only getting to jump 2 on the XC I couldn’t be prouder of Banksy.
He was a dude, a super keen bean (clearly glad to be out) yet listened and completely reinstalled my confidence in the warm up arena which has been a real nemesis of mine ever since his exuberant behaviour at Swalcliffe in the Summer.
Yet today despite his “freshness” I kept my leg on & confidently told him what I wanted and it worked!! Yay to no silly behaviour ~ thank you @fredscala
for installing in me that you still need to apply LEG to an extremely feisty horse!!
We warmed up the most confidently and positively I have in a long long time despite not having competed for 6 weeks and our last comp being 80 not a daunting 100 track!! Into the arena and we rode positively forwards, got decent strides into every SJ fence aside from the dog leg where I messed up my line!! Onto the XC number 1 jumped lovely and he was game on.... until I cut the corner to 2, totally messed up the striding resulting in him chipping in, clouting his knees and almost face planting the ground... thankfully he managed to sort his leggies out quickly whilst I shot up his neck kissing his forelock!! Only to then slam the brakes on & dart right as we were right by the exit 🙈 resulting in me trotting out along side him on my own feet!! Tbh not really how i saw today going... BUT I am certainly taking the positives from today, we not only survived the warm up, we had fun, we weren’t nervous, we jumped the SJ so confidently and we both came home safe and sound!! Our remakes were epic and I am buzzing for our next event so today again was a learning curve in that we walk our lines and then must ride them ~ Do not cut corners and rely on your horse to help you out, tell him where to take off and give him a chance to do the job properly.
Gosh that was a long one for me!!🤣if you’ve made it this far then yes we’ve vlogged it... obvs 😉
Aiming to be live on YouTube by Tuesday eve 🎥 #EmTeeEventures

Starting TONIGHT 🙊🤩

Win, lose or draw ~ You can never pat them enough 🖤
Entries all done for our next outing ✔️ At least one good thing has come from being on my sick bed.
“You never get a second chance to make a great first impression”
Therefore when this beautifully presented package arrived I instantaneously knew I was not going to be disappointed with what was inside!! I had needed new reins since October 2017 when Banksy managed to break 2 sets in the space of 2 weeks 🙈
I managed to borrow a black pair for my dressage bridle off of a close friend and had seen @henryjamessaddlery
’s “Bio grip” reins a lot on social media therefore decided to invest in a pair in brown for my jumping bridle & see how much I liked them before getting them in black too.
Well when I went into their website I didn’t realise quite how many different versions there were ~ I am absolutely rubbish at decisions & despite them only being £29.99 I kept umming & aahhhhh over which set to purchase!!
It wasn’t until after Swalcliffe 3 Day (when I had serious lack of brakes) that I finally got round to deciding on the “V-Grip with stoppers” & boy am I glad I did, he can no longer snatch the reins due to the leather stoppers that are spaced 5cm apart & have small pimples in a chevron formation giving unrivalled grip.
So far I have only done 2 cross country rounds using them (thanks to getting eliminated at Bovington 🙄) but have definitely felt more in control knowing that they can’t be pulled through my fingers.
I also like the fact that whilst hacking & schooling I can ensure my reins are an even length as I do have a tendency to hold my let me Left Rein lengthen as I drop my hands to his withers (a bad habit that I’m working on this winter!!)
I have since been interested in the other versions & which style to get for my dressage bridle & am very grateful that the kind team at Henry James Saddlery have sent @emd__eventing94
& I a selecetion of their reins to try out, if you check out Ems Story this evening she has been out on Spirtey in the XTreme Eventer Reins which are slightly thinner&smoother than the V-Grip with even more flexibility, great for people with smaller hands or those that like the feel of thinner reins.
They have some Amazing Black Friday Deals on this week so if you have any questions feel free to pop either one of us a message!
What’s that I hear, Jake @littlebentleyeventing
and Guy actually speaking sense?! I never thought I’d see the day! 😉
They’re absolutely right though, what a supportive bunch the series 3 @omegaequine
All Star Academy contestants were ~ I honestly couldn’t have wished for a more fun, encouraging and friendly group to share this CRAZY experience with. Hands down one of the most incredibly AMAZING times of my life, I never wanted to leave ~ @tallandschoolofequitation
is such a special place, I feel so very lucky I got to spend 4 days there!

We had a truly INCREDIBLE time Arena Eventing last Sunday.
Fully expecting to not even make it round once, never mind completing TWICE!
So, SO incredibly proud of Remmi ~ He doesn’t find jumping easy and it certainly doesn’t come naturally. I have to work mega hard to keep us on the right track but boy WHAT A FEELING 🤩 I don’t think I’ve felt a buzz like that for a long time!
Best of all though ~ Seeing @patchydressagepony
absolutely SMASH IT ~ There’s just something so wonderful about outings with friends and supporting them!
Now whilst I FULLY appreciate we’re stepping out onto the roads and not the runway at New York Fashion week (I wish!) ~ Who’s with me in wanting to look a little more stylish in Hi-Viz?! 🌟
have a fantastic range of @equisafety
products ~ Grab 10% off ANY of them by using the code REM10 ~ Complimentary delivery too 😉
Zoom in and look at my face 🙈🤣 Throwback to our first ever BE Event August 2015 ~ galloping towards the final fence ecstatic at going clear within the time ~ it certainly reiterates how over analysing things and putting pressure on yourself makes you mess up. For our first 2/3 seasons XC we didn’t have a single fault xc because we just went out with Zero Expectations and purely to just do our best and ENJOY it!!
And I swear that in March 2019 that is what I’m going back to.... whether it be at 80/90 or 100 the height does not matter ~ enjoying my horse and getting the exhilaration of safely and confidently crossing that finish line is all it’s all about 💪
