I was never one to hide my feelings, and if I did, I never did it very well. I took this photo one month ago. It was the last day that I as a #substituteteacher
. I was incredibly unhappy, and I could have just gone one more day. I only had one more dya left to finish up that assignment, and I honestly could not get myself to do it. And while runing my #smallbsuinesscan
be a bit tough on some days, I can look back at this picture and realize that I"m so many levels of happiness higher now than I was before.
I'll be clear, I am still a teacher, but not in a k-12 classroom. Just getting up and quitting one's job is not something anyone can do with ease, and I didn't necessarily do that. I'll be a college level professor of ESL starting September. The hours are not typical 9-5. In fact, I'll have 2 adjunct positions in two different colleges. To me, this is preferable as I can find time to run my #etsyshop
Since it's summer vacation in msot schools and there aren't many positions available, I've decided to run my #etsyfull
time, and I cannot believe how happy I am being my own boss. I'll be honest, I don't give myself as many days off as I thought I would, but I'm still starting, and I truly love what I do! .
I'm hoping to do a couple more #craftfairs
so if you know of any, give me a holler. Additionally, I'd love to spend some time learning about business, marketing, etc. Do you have any courses you'd recommend? I'm looking to learn what I can to improve my #smallbusinessskills
