Flex Friday during bulking season💪🏼 trying to add some mass now in preparation for when I next compete, working on my weak points as much as possible! ________________________________________________ Lifts are progressing well at the moment as my weight is also going up. Weighing in at around 212lb right now and feeling lean as fuck! ________________________________________________ Motivation is low right now but that’s no excuse not to train, I’m just focusing on what my future goals are and getting it DONE. Diet is consistent but I’ve been much more flexible and it seems to be helping me gain some size. _________________________________________________ Also had a problem with my camera recently so I should be back to posting more frequently again now it’s been sorted, maybe it’ll help me boost my motivation again😂 _________________________________________________ So I will be moving and competing with the @UKDFBA next year! Biceps can be tricky because it's mainly about genetics. But I've found that super setting slower movements with heavier weight and high reps has helped me a ton. Cable V handle curls : with the close grip, these really hit the brachialis of your biceps 👍🏻. The setup : feet slightly inside shoulder width with a nice solid base. Relax/drop your shoulders. Hold the handle palms up and don’t wrap your thumbs around the handle. Keep your back straight, tighten your core, exhale and curl the weight up. Squeeze at the top for a peak contraction, inhale and slowly lower for a 3-4 second negative. Stop short of fully extending your arms. I always say that if you're looking for whether or not you're progressing, don't look at whether or not your max went up. Look at whether or not your holds went up.

We all know how important exercise is for keeping us physically healthy. But did you know that exercise can also help keep you mentally healthy? Research shows that people who exercise regularly have better mental health and emotional wellbeing, and lower rates of mental illness. Taking up exercise seems to reduce the risk of developing mental illness. It also seems to help in treating some mental health conditions, like depression and anxiety. For example, for mild depression, research suggests physical activity can be as effective as antidepressants or psychological treatments like cognitive behavioural therapy.
Made some really good progress with my physique recently. BUT I’m not going to lie, I still have bad days where I feel like it’s not working. I still have insecurities and still feel like the fatty I was on the left. - For the next two weeks I’m taking a break from my diet to properly enjoy my time in Dubai. Hopefully I’ll be able to switch off and not worry about what I’m eating. I’ll continue to workout where possible then I’ll come back and smash out the last phase of my weightloss.
ADVICE NEEDED: 🙏 Progress is measured more than just by what number comes out on the scale... I’m now down to the smallest notch on my @strengthshopuk @strengthshop weightlifting belt. This is a great thing however, Still going to be getting smaller. Has anyone ever tried drilling extra holes in a belt that has any tips for me?!
🚨Cliche transformation post alert🚨 Now I know that there’s no shredded abs or anything there yet, but for this fat kid on the left to be confident enough to post a photo with a “flat” stomach online is quite a big deal. This isn’t the end goal it’s just me looking back to see how far I’ve come. If one person is inspired by this then I consider that a success, if I can do it then anyone can!
