There are two types of meditation:

Meditation helps you to get distracted from what you need to "do", and to feel what it's like to simply "be", which helps to understand the surrounding reality and your true nature. Many people are far from this approach, especially for extremely busy people who are constantly focused on upcoming affairs.
Think for a moment: when you finish doing what you need to do right now, are you released? Are you really liberated, or is it always necessary to do something else after that? You know the answer. You will always have more to do. After all, everything can not be changed!
So you can always allocate some time to just BE and feel reality in a completely different way, rather than just physically. Your perception of the surrounding reality and an understanding of what is really important will change. And this will #change
