It's a good thing! It's exciting and terrifying and humbling and triumphant and a million other things all rolled into one. 💓💗 Today's challenge? I was sore and still feeling puny from my sinus infection but I still did my absolute best on a sprint workout. And those pushups? I was sure I only had 14 in me but I managed to push all the way to 24. My lungs are trashed and my chest is sore but i wouldnt want it any other way. I love that I have someone to teach me, encourage me, push me, and remind me to be gentle with myself. Make sure you surround yourself with these kind of people. Parents say to me, “ Ceyonne, you don’t understand “ and I guess I don’t and I won’t understand promoting BAD HEALTH HABITS! Don’t think for one sec your child will turn 18 and decide to eat healthy or for that matter know what it looks like. It usually take going to the Dr and getting a life threatening report to even consider lifestyle change. Do your kids a favor and start making adjustments in their diet. Small changes bring big results. Btw parents, im certain your diet can stand some tweeting as well. Loving your kids isn’t always giving them what they want but Real Love is Protecting them at all cost, even if they are standing over there throwing a TANTRUM!! Last week the government released their final report into the obesity epidemic in Australia. It was a scary read! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Worryingly, the prevalence of severe obesity in the paediatric population has increased significantly, to the point that we now see children as young as eight years old with type 2 diabetes. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Children who are overweight or obese are also more likely to experience lower emotional functioning and increased risk of chronic conditions such as breathing difficulties, fractures, hypertension, and early markers of cardiovascular disease. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The report also highlighted that infants experiencing rapid weight gain between birth and two years had nearly four times greater odds of being overweight or obese later in life. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ We need to get our kids moving more and eating better, and we need to start NOW.
