I'll often see people at the gym going SUPER wide with their pull up grip (SLIDE 2).⠀
Here's the thing: the wider you grip the bar the LESS your lats are engaged, defeating the entire purpose of the exercise.⠀
=> It makes the exercise needlessly hard. Pull ups are already a difficult movement if you're starting out, don't make it any harder for yourself.⠀
=> Going super wide on pull ups can also aggravate your shoulders which could potentially lead to an injury. Or at the least, feel uncomfortable while performing the movement.⠀
==> Grip the bar around, or a bit outside, shoulder width (SLIDE 3) <===⠀
You'll find that you're stronger in this position and it feels a lot better on your shoulders.⠀

now that start day is officially over. I was expecting more of a struggle after being absent for so long but it turns out, even if it has been a while, all that hard work #exercising
before has definitely paid off. So the first step is definitely the hardest. No matter what happens after, you will never feel the same again. Even my daughter joined in on the workout 🤗 Feeling more #determined

PLEASE READ.... I posted something with the same message on snapchat the other day, but I got so many positive responses I thought it would be good to share with you all. Since prom and spring break are coming up, I know everyone thinks that they should start dieting and trying to lose weight. However, you don’t need to change your body in order to be happy. I know this is much easier said than done, but it’s true. You need to surround yourself with people who love you for you during these times, and if they think you need to change, surround yourself with new people. Those around you should be the ones lifting you up and making you realize that you don’t need to change yourself. Another thing that you need to do is change your outlook on life, which is another thing that is much easier said than done. Your imperfections are what make you perfect. Why would you want to change yourself? After losing weight or starting a diet, you won’t be any happier. If you choose to have positive thoughts about yourself and your body, then you will be happier. Please feel free to contact me if you find yourself in a similar situation because I would love to help you find positive ways to exert your energy rather than obsessing over losing weight just to “look good” in a dress or swim suit. I am here to help you all so don’t be afraid to reach out! Remember, happiness can NOT be reached by a number on the scale.

How To Enter
To officially enter The Challenge you must register and pay $25 entry fee. To enter and complete The Challenge, you must submit the following information (in English) via email at email@example.com
at the beginning and end of The Challenge:
3 full-length digital photos taken from the (1) front, (2) back and (3) side. Women should wear a sports bra and shorts or bikini; men should wear shorts
In your front-view photos, you must hold up that day’s newspaper with the date visible or a piece of paper with the challenge hashtag written on it. The hashtag will be emailed to you after receipt of payment.
The following measurements in the US Standard System (feet/inches/pounds): height, weight, waist, hips, arm and thigh.
The entry period for submitting “Before” information will begin on January 29, 2019 at 12 am Eastern Standard Time (EST) and end on January 31, 2019 at 1159 pm EST.
Upon completion of The Challenge, the period for submitting “After” information will be March 1, 2019 at 12 am Eastern Standard Time (EST) and end on March 3rd, 2019 at 1159 pm EST.
Registered participants will receive a nutrition plan, grocery shopping list and either a home or a gym workout plan (participants choice) and will be able to view the entire training, nutrition and supplementation program on Friday, February 1st via email.
