Well at least it’s sunny out ☀️
🌬❄️ Its a tiny bit windy today 🌬❄️
Someone recently told me that my new life looks pretty perfect based off of what I post. Truth is nothing is 100% perfect. I’ve sat with this for a few days and realized I used to show more of the good, the bad, the beautiful and the ugly in regards to my self and my life. The full spectrum. I recognize that I do post a significant number of picturesque photos and experiences we have but the truth is, all of it is my personal experience of witnessing the true magic of being here. Since moving to Waterton I’ve been in such awe of the beauty and the adventure that even days like this are new and exciting! And this is apparently about the norm for winters here lol. Winds have been clocked at 130km an hour at Dallas’ work today and on Tuesday night when we were walking to the community centre for yoga and basketball with friends we walked through 120km an hr winds. I couldn’t breathe and the snow specks hitting my face hurt lol. But it was still fun, and great to get out of the house and get together with friends! I’ve chosen this life for many reasons but a big one is for all the experiences. Now we’ll see how I feel come April when there are ginormous snow drifts and the winds are endless. But I sit here and think, even that would be cool to experience. Climbing huge snow drifts in an isolated town in the mountains! I probably don’t post more the the gloomy, not so nice days because I don’t tend to get out on those days. I tend to hibernate and do things in our apartment. Today I just so happened to have to go get the mail. 🌬
Now, my emotional and mental state has been a roller coaster since moving. My personal isolation (with not working) and all the alone time mixed with the deeper self work I’m doing has put my mind and emotions through the wringer. More about this in future posts. I’ve found my writing flow again so they will most likely be lengthy and have to be blog posts that I’ll share on here. 🌬
I am grateful every single day for being here. I want to experience all that comes with it. I love that I am in nature so I can self regulate and I can truly say I am in the right place. 🏔🌬❄️❄️❄️❄️
15 years ago and my first trip to the Rockies..
He said to me:
“I’ve got Banff on my mind this morning.
Do you remember how we felt there?” .
I couldn’t forget if I tried 💜⛰.

We took a little getaway to the mountains this past weekend! The weather was amazing all weekend and the skies clear, making for awesome pictures from the top of the Banff gondola!
Almost over the mid week hump! Whenever I’m doing the last chunk of elevation gain before the summit I tend to get Dory’s “just keep swimming” song stuck in my head and I always find it oddly motivating so feel free to use it to get through hump day 😉😋
Yesterday was my last day of class, thankful.
can’t it be friday already?!
International Mountain Day, don’t mind if I do😏🏔🙌🏻 📍Sugarloaf Mountain, Banff
Never measure the height of a mountain until you have reached the top - then you will see how low it was 💫

[Appreciation] “Trade your expectations for appreciations!” (Tony Robbins) While listening to a podcast recently this is something Tony Robbins said in it and it really resonated with us! We have been making an effort to be more mindful everyday and when you can trade your expectations for appreciations it is a move towards living more in the now. Expectations are about what we are looking for in a future time but to be appreciative is to learn to live in the moment. In saying this it is still important to have goals and a certain level of expectations in different areas of your life but always remember that appreciation should come first. When you shift your energy and your focus to appreciation your outcomes will be magnified naturally.
