Too much sunshine will dry you out, sometimes you gotta embrace the rain.
round of applause for the friends with whom you can enjoy cabin time in the mountains & yet they still understand your introversion enough to give you space for it 😌🙌🏾
Come see Gypsy Cattle Drive tonight at the Ivy Ballroom inside @surfhotelbv

and I couldn’t be more excited to warm up the stage for one of my all time favorite fiddle players Jason Carter! The Chaffee Times published an article about it today so check it out when you have time. (Link in bio) Hope to see you tonight!

Everything is fine.
Taking a break from social media for a bit.
26 HOUR ROAD TRIP 🚗 you can clearly see who’s boss 🐶
We’re making our way from Colorado to Pennsylvania today & tomorrow for the holidays! 🎄
We had a 2hr ordeal last night getting the rental car 🙄 but we hit the road at 4:30 this morning and have spent the entire day in the car since!
12 hours down! && going strong on Day 18 of my cleanse even from the car! 🍎
Prayers for safety [we’ve seen a few scary wrecks so far] & no bad weather 🙏🏽 are appreciated!
The craziness is already starting to hit 😜 every year I question why we do this 😂🐶🚗🎄
We may have lost feeling in our fingers and our toes, but yesterday was a dream. Five former PCT thru-hikers took on a day hike at RMNP. 💖✨🏔
Today was the first time meeting a First Lady.
The Tattered Cover Book Store here in Denver held an event with former First Lady Michelle Obama! We had the opportunity to meet and greet with Mrs. Obama, and have her sign copies of her new bestselling memoir “Becoming” (photo-taking was restricted inside the event area). Today was a good day.

Two weeks until I’m spending another night in this magical place! Last year, we woke up and came out of the tent with a fresh six inches of snow on the ground! Hopefully this year lives up. We’re coming for ya Colorado!
I notice a trend in my top 9...
Running might be an important part of my life? Incredible amounts of gratitude for the best year yet! Hoping 2019 brings more joyful, happy running with a community I love dearly. #RunForYourLife #RunningOnOptimism
- Wish I would have traded in 🌽 fields for 🏔 earlier...
My life has been filled with so much excitement and adventure, yet true happiness has come from the simple things that I experience on my journeys. 🦋(cue Simple Things by Miguel 🎶)

Ready to relax and de-stress the way I know how.
Last Sunday we skied in whiteout conditions and sunny blue skies. This photo was taken somewhere in between.
Waiting to meet the former First Lady... 🇺🇸
One MAJOR detail Granny Jo left out when I told her we would be flying to Denver and road tripping through mountains and national parks in 5 different states in 7 days... SHE GETS CAR SICK AND VERTIGO 😬
She toughed it out, but the winding roads with steep cliff faces passing by made our trip through Rocky Mountain National Park quite interesting to say the least 😅
Actually ended up being a blessing in disguise. I’ve done that drive nearly a dozen times, and I’ve never stopped to get out and enjoy the views as often as this trip. Granny Jo was particularly fond of stopping near water with rock outcroppings like this river here. Something about the fresh air flowing off the water always seemed to help calm her and boost us through the next few hours of narrow, winding, sloping roads.
Next stop?? WYOMING! Check back tomorrow @travl.mor
A huge part of our history is the Hayman Fire. In June of 2002, the largest forest fire in Colorado history changed the landscape of Lost Valley Ranch for generations to come. Hundreds of firefighters fought the fast-moving fire, which spread across 138,114 acres, burned 133 homes, and forced the evacuation of 5,340 people. Smoke could be seen and smelled across the state. The fire was finally brought under control on July 18, 2002. The Hayman Fire had devastating impact, but from the ashes came new life.
Missin’ those Colorado views 🖤🌿

People say I’m crazy for hiking at night but looking up onto a clear sky, full of stars, little bit of moonlight hitting the trail, pure silence in the forest. I can only think of a handful of things that beat this feeling.
Cocktail hour is from 2-5:30, come join us for a drink!🍸
Tonight is our Nordic Holiday Wine Dinner, are you coming? Please note that the we will be closing at 3pm today to host our Wine Dinner.
