The Old Man of Tarsuinn. Keeping an eye on things. He was a welcome sight on Saturday’s run as it signalled the final metres of 2000 metres of ascent before the downhill began all the way to Brodick.

This beautiful scene is on the North East Coast of Scotland, a 40 minute drive from Aberdeen 🐑🐑🐑🐑
Although the castle is now a ruin, those walls hang onto some really interesting stories... 📖 ———-
Bram Stoker supposedly got his inspiration for Dracula 🧛♂️ when he visited the cliff-side castle, which isn’t a massive surprise seeing as some folk on the North East Coast do bite 😅😂...
To most people, this is just a street sign pointing to two cities. To me, this is a big part of my life. ————
I lived in Inverness for the first 21 years of my life. Some of my memories are great, some aren’t so great. I moved through to Aberdeen 5 years ago to start a new life on the North East Coast where I was charmed by a hairy Aberdonian. Although moving brought with it some challenges, it turned out to be one of my best decisions. ————————-
Travelling to Inverness now, is filled with positivity as I can appreciate its beauty from the outside looking in. I have also become a tourist in my own hometown and am learning more about my heritage as time goes on. ——————————
I guess my advice from this is to take the leap and occasionally do something that might scare you a little bit. If that scary thing is moving to Aberdeen - dinna fash, they dinna bite 😬. Failing that, visit Inverness and visit Aberdeen. Both cities are real gems 👌🏼
