This remote beach is an explorer's paradise. It's quiet, peaceful and has so much natural beauty to indulge in. About 3 hours outside of Seattle, this beach deserves at least a couple days of exploring. There are many options for those planning on staying the night or longer; B&B's, campgrounds, or other various places to stay. While exploring the beach, you and your little ones will discover all sorts of adventurous things. This beach is full of beautifully weathered driftwood piled up on the sand. They are great to climb and sit on while enjoying the views. Unique rock formations called sea stacks are scattered throughout the shoreline that make little islands for birds and sometimes seals to rest on. At the base of these are colourful tidepools where you will discover all sorts of interesting creatures such as starfish, crabs, barnacles, sea anemones and more. When the tide is out you can walk and explore the beach further out. The beach is set on a backdrop of lush forestry. Be sure to bring a camera to capture it's unique and diverse atmosphere. If there's only time for a quick stop, this beach is still well worth the visit!
