*July 2018 Ipsy Glam Bag Review*
To kick off my list of backed up review posts, here is July's @ipsy
glam bag review! Right off the bat I can honestly say the eye liner and the setting powder are my favorites of the bunch but as much as I love the bag itself, I feel totally indifferent with its contents.
The first product I'd like to talk about is @dermae
Vitamin C Micellar Cleansing Water. I use wet wipes when taking off my make up, followed by micellar water around problem areas like my eyes and finish with soap to get all the remaining make up out. I'm not too sure if it's the vitamin c components of this product but when I used my it stung my skin a little bit. Definitely not recommended to those who have sensitive skin. This is especially concerning because micellar water is advertised as gentler alternative to makeup wipes. One thing I would like to point out is this product smells amazing! The citrus scent is like no other. I feel and smell refreshing after using!
Next product is @eyeko
Liquid Eyeliner in Carbon Black. In my opinion, liquid liners are the hardest liners to use, just because it doesnt have as much smudging capabilities like pencils, kohls or gels do. I like this product because it has a skinny felt tip so you can get as precise as you want which is perfect for drawing on cat eyes! The formula is decent, it does last all day, especially if you use primer under it but it does take a bit to dry as it smudged a little during my application.
The third product in the bag is @bellapierreofficial
Banana Setting Powder in Medium. My skin is very flexible in a way where I tan and lighten easy so I'm always on the look out for versatile powders that I can use during summer and through transition months. Because it is summer, I am at my darkest and this powder is a little light for my skin so I currently use it as a baking powder instead of over all setting powder. This powder is nice because it doesnt have too much of a flashback when taking photos but I'm not a huge fan of the shimmer it has. I'm also not a huge fan of the packaging as the powder gets everywhere even with minimal usage.
