Here's a grain-free solution inspired my my mom @thekitchensinkblog
using pecans, almonds and sesame. Yum.
I topped this breakfast smoothie with some mango and a crumbled pecan, almond, sesame cookie. I don't even miss the oats. Good news, I'm sharing her cookie recipe in my stories.

Today is definitely one of those days. The house isn’t just upside down, it’s in a whole new dimension, and it’s taken my family with it. The girls are covered in mud, felt tip, slime and berry stains. So am I. So are all of our possessions. I also set fire to the toaster and the smell just won’t go away. 😬
My husband spent most of yesterday in A&E with our eldest, who is now home and going to be okay. Thank you to the lovely staff at #londonwaterloo

When Ice cream gets requested by the poorly one, it’s what the poorly one gets. But if I can boost it in any way, then that’s happening, obvs. .
💜Blackberry nice cream💜
🥣1 frozen banana
🥣Handful of frozen blackberries
🥣Handful of frozen steamed cauliflower .
Blitz all ingredients, and add a little milk (I used almond, but any is fine) to loosen. .
🥣black grapes (quartered lengthwise)
🥣blueberries 🥣hemp hearts
natural energy bar, sliced 👍🏻
I don’t even know what day of the week it is anymore. When do I put the bins out? Anyone?! 😬🤣

It was a Dad and Daughter cook up day here at Natural Smoke HQ and we have a great time
This is the second time we’ve cooked up beef cheeks and they were just as rich, meaty and delicious as the first time
Slow cooked on the #weberkettle
for about 6 hours - starting with 3 hours of smoke with our black wattle then boated with a mixture of honey, soy sauce and oyster sauce until it probed like butter, then rested for a solid 1.5 hours 😋

🏠 PANTRY ITEM - TOASTED PINENUTS .
A lot of things I cook have my “Pantry Item” asterisk next to it. * = I always have these on hand because they’re the regular items I need . This is one of them .
In the late 80’s - that’s about 150 years ago in my children’s minds 😑 I cooked at a fantastic cafe in Double Bay. Every day we made litres of fresh basil pesto to sell and so my job was to toast about a kilo of pine nuts. 🥜
Put the raw nuts in a ovenproof bowl or glass jug. Zap them on high for 2mins in the microwave then 1min increments (stirring in between) until they’re nice and golden brown. .
This lots took 4min in total for 400g of pine nuts. When you like the colour, transfer to a cold bowl to stop them cooking. Store in an air tight container .
❌ TIP: They get super hot as they contain oil, so wear heat gloves when touching that bowl
PS I find this an easier way to cook nuts in general especially in bulk ➕you can control the level of colour more than in a frypan. The same method applies to almonds and almond flakes.

🇺🇸 It's high time for tasty courgettes!
Try our recipe:
* 2 courgettes
* 400g (14oz) ground veal or turkey meat
* 1 egg
* 1 clove of garlic
* ground pepper
* dried tomato flakes
You can put some groung cheese on top, for older kids and yourselves.
Scoop out the courgettes, and chopped the insides, and mix IT with other ingredients, except for cheese. Stuff the courgettes, and bake for 30-40 minutes 180C. At the end of baking, top with cheese. Tastes best with rice. Give it a try!

* 400g mielonej cielęciny lub indyka
* ząbek czosnku
* mielony pieprz
* suszone pomidory w płatkach
Cukinie możesz posypać tartym serem, dla starszych dzieci i dla siebie.
Wydrąż cukinie, a miąższ posiekaj i wymieszaj z resztą składników, oprócz sera. Napełnij wydrążone cukinie i piecz przez 30-40 minut w 180 C. Na koniec pieczenia posyp serem. Najlepiej smakuje z ryżem. Wypróbuj, to jest pyszne!

Bit of Easter fare. I love making roast potato chips! They are the best! This went down a storm and there really wasn’t anything left! 🙌
Breakfast for us both was porridge, which I had with almond milk, blueberries and raspberries. I had no idea milk has salt in it, both normal and almond, it wasn’t even something I thought to check until today! It’s a wee sneak that salt 🧂
And then there are days when I just grate courgette into everything... 🥒🥒Welcome to a little bowl of blueberry, banana and courgette porridge. 🍌🍌Taking every opportunity to eat vegetables! 🐣🐥
