हस्तस्पर्शो हि मातृणामजलस्य जलांजलि: translates as
The touch of a mother's hand is like handful of water for the one in need of it.
We always take so many things for granted in life. Like the luscious green Earth which keeps us grounded, the majestic blue Sky that hugs us from above, sparkling Stars twinkling at us during night, warmth and light of the Sun that wakes us in the morning and the calm mood set by the Moon every night for us.
Few might argue it's God who created all of it and some would give its credit to Science and Evolution. No matter who the creator might be, it is vital to give them respect and the importance they deserve for their creation.
Since we are open to the idea of existence of God and also that Science could be the key to our Evolution, we think our creation involved both God and Science. Science ofcourse due to the Biology part of it and God coz we think it was God's plan to have us where we are NOW. Having said that for us there's only 1 creator for us, OUR MAKER - OUR MUM @catel_w.
Just like a Phoenix rises from its ashes, we rose from our Mum who took all the pain, agony, hormonal imbalances, morning sickness, backaches, indigestion etc. during her pregnancy and sacrificed her physical self to protect and develop us in her womb.
Our actions let alone words can never be enough to show our affection towards her. However sometimes we do sneak in some special cuddly moments when we hug her and share a moment then :) No wonder that Sanskrit quote is so befitting.
P.S: Dont mind the grumpy attitude in few pics; we have been battling cold and runny noses :( #bhagavadgita #sanskrit #shloka
