Chicken Burger, avocado, mushrooms and onions, and kale on a whole wheat bun. Kale and onions from #sporthillfarm
. Nothing beats kale when it gets colder, it’s sweet; as if the kale angels come down and sprinkle it with some sugar before winter comes. It’s science, the same is true for local tomatoes in the summer.
Look what Dom and Jen were harvesting today! 🍯 #comingsoon
Happy mid December (belated)! Let us share with you a very corny joke:

The face of a kid who is not entirely sure she's on Santa's nice list 😂 🎅
We had SO much fun taking Christmas photos this year. It was totally unplanned, I just grabbed my camera and a bunch of Christmassy things and sat them on the wooden shelf from the bathroom and we had a ball! Sadie never usually sits still for that long!
They are by no means professional but I LOVE them and it's a fun thing to do at home that we can continue each year!

My little one’s first recognizable sounds were chicken clucks...not surprising, as he shares his sandbox with anywhere from 30-300 chickens, depending on the season.
His two year old eyes watch their cycle of life unfold - from new chicks hatching out of eggs, to mature birds foraging over the far corners of our property. He has even seen them be humanely harvested - something I feel is a sacred and important act that anyone who chooses to consume meat should be able to witness.
Ozzy helps us let the chickens out of their coops in the morning - filling their water and feed containers. And he holds the flashlight for us as we close them back into their coops at night.
I feel immensely grateful for these amazing birds, the beautiful eggs and meat they provide, and the lessons they teach my boy 🙏🏻
