Last night vs this morning vs just now. Here are a few lessons that I have learned: ➡️This may be stating the obvious but generally speaking chinese is really not keto-friendly 🤣. Of course what you order matters but where I've been able to make every meal work for me in the last 12 weeks without much hassle; even avoiding the rice, noodles, spring rolls, prawn crackers and toast and actual sauce still more or less kicked me out of ketosis. ➡️Consistency on this journey is really the only thing that matters. This has been a non stop grind with countless days of soreness, day after day of hours of training, committed daily fasting, endless sweats, intense hours in the sauna, constant affirmations daily, infinite deep breathes, and a never ending desire to grow and expand! Its been 1 years since eye decided to pick up weights and begin seriously training with the aim to better my overall performance , energy, and well being. Upper Chest. If it’s your weak point, it’s because you’re not prioritizing it. I say this a lot but it’s true. You want to improve, do EVERYTHING it takes. Don’t just put the action out there, put the RIGHT action out there. Do your research and test things out. Leave no stone unturned and be obsessed with becoming a better version of yourself. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I say this type of shit because I believe it to be the very reason why I’ve been able to speed up my results. This superset is one of the things I’ve found to work better than others for building my upper chest. But, you might be different. Experiment with it and compare it to the other things you’ve tried. Keep doing what works and omit what doesn’t. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Superset ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ A1- Incline DB Bench press (try and hit failure between 8-12 reps) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ A2- Grab a band and perform a push up off of a bench and do as many as you can until you reach failure ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ A3- After failing, hit push ups with the band off your knees. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ *A4-If you still have any energy, remove the band and perform push ups again til failure. You can even take it a step further and do push ups off the ground after that to extend the set even longer if you’re sadistic like me. lol. And for those of you who always ask- Yes, I hit this workout at 7pm and I had fasted all day (with the small inclusion of some veggies + hummus at 3pm). Fasted workouts give me the best pump and I feel I have better workouts. It's to show how freakin' liberating it is to not be chained to your food. When I was 38 I injured my back. It was just a minor fall but my lower back sciatica area just blew out for about 3 weeks. I was freaked out and a friend told me in a comforting tone. “Don’t worry that is normal you are pushing 40 after all” 😖 As if to say things will only get worse it is part of aging. I didn’t show it but I was defiantly angry! I said to myself “no I don’t #ucking accept that.” I researched “how to fix sciatic back pain” what worked for me was The McKenzie Method. Along with adding more strength to my core with regular exercise. Now six years later I am stronger, healthier, and have more energy at age 44 than I did at 38. The best part is. I can still play with my nieces the way we really want to play. Every time I see them as the years go by we have more and more fun because I am stronger and more able. So thank you friend for trying to tell me getting weak and decrepit was just a normal part of aging. 9/17/2018- 72 hour workout part 2- Outdoors...it’s nice to get a workout outside, the fresh air feels great. So today was 6 sprints of about 50-60 yards, followed by resistance band exercises- chest, back, shoulders, arms, single leg lunges and pushups at the end...3 rounds of that.
