Weekly Weight Loss: 1.2lbs | >>> This week was kind of frustrating...I lost 2lbs the first day of the week, but then gained back almost a pound over the next 6 days 😩 After last week’s huge success (losing 7.4lbs) I was really hoping for another big week. But weeks like this are a good reminder that losing 80lbs isn’t going to be easy and it’s going to take consistency and a complete lifestyle change. This is not a quick fix and I’m in it for the long haul. And really, looking at the past 3 weeks since I started I’ve already lost almost 25lbs, so there’s still a lot for me to celebrate! 🤗 Here’s to a better week this week! >

Remember, your body is so much more than what shows up on the scale!!
Body weight alone isn’t a great marker of progress, but it can be when it’s used correctly and alongside other forms of progress (like measurements and photos)
Here’s the problem ❌ —> Most people don’t know how to “read” the scale.
They’ll see a small jump and freak out. Or they’ll have a big drop in weight followed by a week or two of no change and assume they’re plateaued...
Here’s the Truth ✅ —> Your weight will NOT go down linearly, day-to-day, week-to-week.
For most people, it'll look like this:
They’ll have a big drop in weight (often referred to as a “whoosh”), go up a little, hold steady for a bit and then repeat the process. For some people this happens on a weekly basis, for some, it’s a monthly basis.
It really just depends on how YOUR body responds.
My advice? Use the scale to track your progress, but understand how it works and make sure you're using it the right way.
It’s not always going to drop in a predictable fashion. It’ll go up and down sporadically, sometimes for no good reason at all. Knowing that, you should know not to freak out every day it doesn’t move the way you want. Your body has been through a lot...be patient with it!
Make sure you’re taking measurements and pictures too. Not all progress is well reflected on the scale.
It’s crunch time! I have a little less than 6 weeks until June and I have to make as much progress as possible until then! I have exactly 11 weeks until my engagement pictures so I’m going to be trying NO CHEAT MEALS EVER until then. It’s going to be tough but worth it! (Except tomorrow I kind of have to because we are sampling wedding food at a popular caterer). Besides that, no cheat meals for atleast 12 weeks. 😩
these pictures are pretty unflattering to say the least...but i need to post them to hold me accountable. im sure it’s pretty clear that im not 100% happy with how my race turned out yesterday. im fairly disappointed that i didn’t complete it, and it’s going to be embarrassing to tell everyone at work that i didn’t complete it, too. but my body was still capable of walking/running 6 miles. i could have finished, just not in the amount of time i was supposed to. i wasn’t prepared for this race at all, but now i’m incredibly motivated to get my ass into shape, and maybe next year complete this thing. but i have to stick to it! i’m so tired of going back and forth and being lazy. i’m so sick of not keeping promises to myself. i sound like a broken record. but these pictures have actually put things into perspective for me. i need to change.

Day 1/6/8 😂 same workout as day 1, 6th day of actually working out and the 8th day on the plan... it was cut short do to doggie doodoo and mischief so here’s to tomorrow going smoothly 🍻
