A couple months ago I decided to volunteer at a visitor program for seniors and I feel truly blessed that I was matched with this beautiful 91 year old lady named Ginette from South of France. I did not know what to expect at first but something kept telling me to just go for it. The goal of this program is to decrease social isolation and loneliness - Ginette is completely alone and has lost 11 of her friends in the last 5 years. I feel lucky to be able to visit her and drink tea and listen to all her wonderful stories. What she doesn’t know is that the same way I’ve helped her feel less lonely, she has also brighten up my life. It reciprocates. Thank you for existing Ginette! You are an inspiration.
Yum! Crepes! I love this particular creperie, Le Tire Bouchon, in Montmartre for it's ambiance. If you take a peek in the window you get a glimpse at the interior. The walls inside are covered, and I do mean covered with all kinds of notes that have been left by visitors. It gives it a very cozy, unique atmosphere. The older gentleman makes the crepes in view of the upper level tables. You can either go in and take a break from walking, or order here at the window. Bon appétit!
