Ladies we need to stop living in a “low carb” mindset… NOW! 🖐🏼🚫
(Left July 2018; me living in a really low carb diet for my body and the excercise I was putting in daily.👎🏻)
(Right; me finally eating to maintain where I am at, put on muscle, and not be scared carbs and “over eating”, and genuinely being happy in my body! 😆)
For a long time I was in the mindset of “carbs = bad, weight gain, unhealthy”. This was an uneducated thought process, I was far too young to think this, and definitely didn’t understand the impact I was making on my mind and my body by thinking this way.
But tbh it’s hard to find a food that doesn’t have some % of carbohydrates in it...
✨❓What foods are high in carbs❓✨
- Fruits 🍌
- Vegetables 🥗🥦🍠
- All types of Grains 🌾🥯
- Processed sugars🍫
- Natural sugars🍯
I was living in this extremely low carb mindset for too long. It was starting to get to a very restrictive state for me. Looking back now, I’m really glad that I stopped while I was ahead. Unknowingly I was starting to lead myself down the road towards an eating disorder with this sort of mentality.
OUR BODIES NEED CARBS TO SURIVE.
✨❓So what really are “carbs”❓✨
(and why do we actually need them..?)
- Carbs provide us with vital ENERGY.
(This is highly important factor, that most people don’t seem to realize. Lacking energy = unproductive in daily life, effect all aspects of your, day to day… and your probably relying on coffee to get by)
- They are one of the 3 MAJOR macronutrients or building block of the what our bodies need to survive.
- Where we should be getting the majority of our daily food intake.
(40-50% of your diet for maintenance should be coming from carbohydrates in a moderate to higher carb diet)
Do you take time every day to fuel your soul? To fill your bucket?
Take a moment, at least once a day, to indulge and little- just for you.
No- I am not just talking about food. I am talking about live, knowledge, freedom, space, time... take a little for yourself!
