Adding a touch of femininity with this oversized belt. This skirt fit me a bit too loose, so I added a belt around my waist to add some structure and it definitely did the job. When in doubt, belt it👌🏼#fashiontips #styleinspo #belts #theforefrnt
The way I present myself is what I do, nonbinary is what I am. No matter how you dress, act, speak, or perform, your identity is valid and should be respected. Just because you’re gay doesn’t mean you have to be feminine, just because you’re lesbian doesn’t mean you have to be butch, just because you’re a trans man or woman doesn’t mean you have to over accommodate for masculinity or femininity, and so on and so on. Society will tell you you have to act a certain way to be valid but you don’t have to be anything other than authentic to yourself and what YOU believe because validity comes from within yourself. Don’t let the world put you in a box and keep you from being yourself because you deserve so much better.
I had the honor of capturing this beautiful woman before a mastectomy. I’ve never thought our biology is what defines being feminine or masculine. It’s an essence, a spirit. I recently came across this description and it really resonates with me: “Femininity encompasses sweetness and strength, human weakness, and will. It’s being gentle and generous, kind and brave, in our own ways. It’s passion and grace. Depth and lightheartedness. It’s confidence in who we are, the courage to be vulnerable. It’s in our capacity to love and nurture. It’s a definition that varies from woman to woman, one we’re writing and rewriting every day. These identities only scratch the multifaceted surface of what it means to be a woman, but they’re worth celebrating.” This session was indeed a celebration, a moment of emotional connection before a physical change. But what it is to be feminine, is timeless.
The ache for home lives in all of us, the safe place where we can go as we are and not be questioned!
🌱 THE ART OF WAITING 🌱
How good are you at the art of waiting? Do you have enough patience to wait for something to happen in life or you take active actions and move forward yourself? If you do the latter, you may be taking on the masculine energy which can drain you at some point.
The art of waiting, or the ability to have patience for things in life, is very rare nowadays. The modern world wants everybody to hustle and be in a rush for just about everything. And if you are not in a hurry, you have a constant FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out). Unfortunately, there is no way you can do everything all at once, no matter how hard you try. And even if you try your best, chances are – you will burn out and will be left with no energy or motivation at all.
The art of waiting is something modern women have forgotten but it is a very important and nourishing thing to do.

‘Although I've had many identity crises in my short 19 years, one thing I've always been so certain about is how much I love being a woman. I am so proud to be a woman. When I was a child I always got so angry when boys my age would call girls 'weak' and 'stupid'. It didn't make sense in my brain because to me, woman were the strongest people I knew.’ Read more of the piece I wrote called ‘What Feminine Strength Means To Me’ on the website, the link is in my bio 💗

Back to work after a full weekend!
I hope you had a fun Father’s Day!
Thank you for all the love from my stories yesterday!!! Oh my goodness! You made me cry all over again! But with a grateful heart this time. I’ve posted the story in my highlights just in case you’re curious.😍
Today I’m thinking about these words from our recently dearly departed Kate Spade.
I’ll be honest, I hadn’t read these words before her passing, but they embody everything I believe.
And so from this point onwards I will keep them close to my heart...
“In order to lead a fascinating life, one brimming with art, music, intrigue, and romance, you must surround yourself with precisely those things.”
I’ll add love, friendship and of course roses!😍
What would you like to add?
I would love to know!
Have a beautiful and inspiring week!
