HI! This is my come to tea face. Let’s get messy.
First I want to say I’m super grateful for this community and how you can feel you can be honest and safe in this space and come to me with your questions.
However, there are some questions I don’t know how to answer. Like: “What do you mean ALL White people? Not all White people!” or “How do I travel and stop feeling bad for being White?” or “What does it mean when people say I’m ‘acting White’ if I’m a POC?”
I don’t know how to answer these questions. And would prefer White people to answer them. I’m White but I’m not White passing. So even though this is a safe space, there are times where I don’t know how “safe” I can make it without coddling someone because I don’t identify with those struggles. I am honestly not equipped to have these conversations.
But I do want to go about this conversation in a constructive way, so if you’re White and have a question, DM and I’ll anonymous post your questions and pose it to the public to answer you, also anonymously. It will be over time and everything will be collected into one post at the end so you can always refer to it. People Of Color can also use it as a resource to teach and inform.
First question now up on stories!
When I first started my job as a flight attendant, I was forced to move out to Phoenix, Arizona (I had lived my whole life in Orlando, Florida). I was really optimistic and excited to start my life in a totally new place. When I first started though, I had a really hard time making friends. I was so used to just having all my friends in the same city. I would call my mom crying because I felt so lonely. My family even suggested that I move back home... and I considered it, but I stuck it out. It took about a year but I met friends that I know I’ll have for life. I learned that if you stick with something and have patience, things will eventually fall into place. I’m glad I didn’t run back to Florida because now I’m loving life on the west coast! @fly_with_jenna

For those of you that aren't familiar with Sololu, I'd like to give a short introduction... Sololu is a lifestyle brand and online store specializing in ethically made clothing ideal for women that travel on a regular basis or lead active lives. All clothing designs can be effortlessly mixed and matched year-round, and are made of soft, lightweight, breathable and biodegradable fabrics. The designs can be complemented with the boho-chic, handmade jewelry from the accessories collection (as seen in the photo).
Born from a love of travel and style, the clothing collection is based on the clothing styles I love to bring on my own travels. As an avid traveler and the owner of Sololu, I decided to create my own clothing collection as I was missing quality clothing that's ideal for travel, stylish, comfortable and sustainable at the same time.
At Sololu, I focus on creating quality clothing designs that last, to avoid the issue of clothing being discarded within a year of purchase. Sololu's mission is to inspire women to live life to the fullest and empower them to feel beautiful and confident while doing so, in sustainable clothing they could wear throughout the entire year.
With the clothing industry being one of the largest polluters in the world, my vision for Sololu is to continue to create sustainable clothing, ideal for travel, that makes a positive change in the world and clothing industry for us and generations to come. In order to walk a little lighter on the earth, I aim to create pieces that are as eco-friendly as possible 🌿

Path to jungle🌴
This beautiful place is called Campuhan Ridge Walk and it's one of the most beautiful places you've ever seen! It is so great to walk in the nature and hear the birds's peeps. If you're visiting Bali it's a must see😍

what are you underneath the labels?
below all of that noise
what is hiding there?
more important than these sheaths we wear
thinking that words can define us
when really we are more than 26 letters can ever explain
even 200,000 words worth of adjectives and nouns couldn’t describe you
just so beautifully you
so let her free
peel open your chest
and watch as your soul unfolds
View 💥 “To the world you may be one person, but to one person you may be the world” I saw this hanging on a restaurant wall while I was having lunch the other day and it really resonated with me 😊 Sometimes we can seem so insignificant in the world as a whole but all of us are very special to someone else, be it a friend, a partner, a parent or a child. It’s good to keep that perspective.
One of my favourite travel ladies @thesewilddreams asked what is one of our favourite travel memories and a trip to Antigua popped into my mind. I think the beautiful beaches, amazing food and the fact that there is so much to do and explore on the island really surprised us and made the trip ever so special. So, here is the view of Antigua’s Jolly Harbour as seen from a helicopter.
This got me thinking that I should start sorting out our summer holidays. Have you already booked yours and, if so, where are you going?
Ah! Dite “brava Zia Ale”, perché a ‘sto giro i capelli li ho fatti da me con l’arriccia capelli @t3micro.

Fun fact 💡 did you know 'Swiss' isn't a language? In fact the Swiss don't have their own language, they mostly speak German, French, Italian or Romansh (a romance language spoken by very few people). I would have loved to have heard it!!! 🇨🇭💕😊😎😍🇨🇭💕🤗
There you go you learn something new every day!!! 😊🙂😍🇨🇭

flow vs force •••
Life to me often feels like a mad dash 🏃♀️When I want something, I ‘need’ it, & I need it now (where are my Moon in Aries people at? 🙋🏻♀️). One lesson that yoga has taught me is to slow down, relax into flow, & to not force as much as I’m apt to. It’s not easy. But as Glennon always says “we can do hard things.” •••
This particular morning I was adamant we would hike Pidurangala Rock to watch the sunrise over Sigiriya (“eighth wonder of the world”) 🌏 I had it perfectly pictured in my head (Instagram shot & all). Morning comes, & we’ve overslept. Then the drive takes twice as long as anticipated. As I mentally will our tuktuk driver to pick up his pace, we drive into some of the thickest fog I’ve ever seen. It didn’t bode well. Climbing the steps at breakneck speed I felt almost begrudging. The sun was rising & we were only halfway up, & this is not what I had in mind thank you very much Universe! 😒 Fortunately, everything unfolds in its own divine timing. Near the top I came upon this reclining Buddha basking in the sunlight. I caught my breath, smiled, & my tensed muscles finally began to relax. We reached the top, caught the tailend of sunrise, & better yet, had it all to ourselves; the earlier sunrise chasers having passed us in their descent. The mists rolled away & the view was spectacular ✨ ••• Flow, not force. That’s when the magic happens. Not because of anything external, but because at the end of the day, it really is all in your head 🧠
“In front of paint brushes and canvas, my hands react to them and make my work before I think of anything. Then, when the piece is completed, I look at it, and am surprised by the result—always.” —happy 89 @yayoikusamas keep being surprised. #tb#malaysia

I want a camel!!!! This guy’s name is Shakira, and he was really sweet. He seemed happy enough to take me for a ride outside of Marrakech in the Atlas mountains, and he got in trouble for stopping to eat grass. I had heard they were mean and spit, but maybe that’s just camels (this is actually a dromedary). 🐫
You never have to dim anyone else’s light to shine. But you know what don’t ever dim yours either and certainly don’t let anyone else make you feel like you’re too much or not enough. I’ve been told both and at this point I’ve learned to quiet those voices because I know I’m not going to make everyone happy and I don’t even want to! and I’ve shifted from that way of thinking to making sure I’M happy and those who matter to me the most are too. File that under life lessons I’ve learned the hard way and way later than I should have
