FOODS THAT PREVENT OR REDUCE FIBROIDS
Even though fibroid is not cancer, but it's a tumour all the same. As with all other diseased-state, illness thrives when the body is in an acidic state. There are foods that provide fuel for illness to thrive within your body, and there are other foods that put the body in an alkaline state. The alkaline state is a sickness-free state and eating the right kinds of foods can keep your body in an alkaline state and prevent diseases from spring there. These categories of foods listed below nourishes your body and prevents the fibroid tumor from growing:
1. Green leafy vegetables. They are rich in vitamin K and aids in blood clotting and controls menstrual bleeding. Women with fibroids are known to usually experience heavy menstrual bleeding. There are a lot of leaves in this category: pumpkin leaves, spinach, green leaves, kale and any other ones readily available within your locality.
2. Cruciferous Vegetables. Like the name sounds, these vegetables kill! They kill cancer/tumors, support detoxification and balance estrogen levels. The greater your intake of these veggies, the higher the chances of eliminating fibroids from your system. Common examples include: cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, brussel sprouts, kale, turnip, and radish.
3. Beta-carotene rich foods. Upon digestion the human body turns beta carotene into vitamin A, which promotes the growth of healthy tissues as well as the repair of tissues, which can both be very helpful for healing fibroids. Some foods high in beta-carotene include carrots, sweet potatoes, kale and spinach.
4. High-Iron Foods. Fibroids sometimes cause some women to lose more blood during their monthly menstruation. This can lead to anemia. To replace the excessive loss of iron, include high-iron foods in your diet to help replace that lost iron and prevent anemia. Examples include: legumes, raisins, dark green leafy vegetables, seafoods, and beans.
