videos and just in time as I enter my 3rd season as a head girls varsity basketball coach! (Send prayers and positive vibes my way please) At the end of the season last year I was left wondering how I could raise more for the program to help with things need to be successful and take away the struggle of parents paying for everything the girls needed...so I prayed and asked God for a way to raise funds and then fIT happened...I had already been teaching a fitness class for free and each of the ladies agreed to make weekly and monthly donations as well as invited more people to join! •

Someone I follow posted recently that SELF DISCIPLINE =SELF CARE. In Parenthood, in motherhood we tend to put ourselves last. We make our own health, physical, mental, spiritual, emotional health disposable. This hits a hard truth for me. After 3 babies, multiple moves and putting aside my health to care for our Army family my chronic migraines were out of control. That feeling of being out of control created a deep desperation in me to take back my health and fight for vitality. It’s not about perfection or even hitting it 80/20 but showing up and then committing when you do. This builds on itself! You may not feel motivated daily but self discipline picks up where motivation fails. Define your why. In Army boot camp we were told to write down our why and to put it up in our lockers so when we wavered we could read our why and push on. My why is self discipline =self care.

•Flexibility• life always throws surprises at you. and as much as i try to stick with a certain workout schedule or eating home cooked meals, that's not always possible! life happens! one way i help myself is to Always have workout clothes and sneakers with me. Always. i carry my gym bag around like an extra purse 👜 💁🏻♀️ this way i have No excuse not to get in a quick workout wherever i am! and if i'm too lazy to cook (90% of the time) i choose the healthiest option at the restaurant or fast food spot. ex: order a burger and toss the bread + add extra lettuce. order a taco but skip the sauce and sour cream. also, i always keep RX bars in my car as a go to snack/meal!
•Fail• i've messed up- a lot! but what makes me successful at losing weight is i Continue to get back up and start over Every Day! you have to be willing to let go of your failures and work towards constant improvement. Do Not Give Up!

Best Decision Ever.~~
