"You must exercise all the time and diet like crazy." "I could NEVER do what you do!" "I have no motivation..." "I don't like being on a diet." . I hear these things all the time so it’s time you hear this. First off, NO, I don’t exercise all the time, and I don’t “diet” and this is HARD for me too! . Before I started my journey, I was 30 pounds overweight. I felt depressed, unenergetic, uninspired, had zero drive, zero willpower, NO self control…I was queen of excuses, binge eating and wasting time. I was only 25 years old at the time and felt like I was much, much older. . But one day I woke up and decided I never wanted to feel that way again. I was so sick and tired of not liking what I saw in the mirror, bot having the energy to do the things I wanted, and that day I made a decision to change. I changed what I put in my mouth and in my mind. I turned my self-doubt into self-belief. . I felt so energized and happy for the first time in years! I had dropped 3 pants sizes and felt like a million bucks! For the first time in a LONG time, I was so incredibly happy! I was confident in myself and my abilities - I realized that I could do anything I put my mind to! . In the past, I've have let the stresses of life get to me. I used to use food as my “fix”. It was my escape from everything - I hated it, but I didn’t know how to change and quite frankly, I didn’t think that I could. But I beat it! I beat those addictions, I beat that old me who said “I can’t…” . It’s been almost 2 years since I started my first workout program! Has this journey been easy? NO. Has this journey been worth it? HECK YEAH! It has changed me in ways I never would have imagined! . I still have my struggles, sure; but at the end of the day I know that I am SO much more than a number on a scale - I am much more than a size, and I am so much more than what I see in the mirror. This journey isn’t about the outward appearance, it’s so much more about the inward transformation! I don’t diet. I don’t do meal replacements. I don’t workout for hours each day! Right now it’s max 35 minutes a day, 4 days a week and I’m getting amazing results!
TODAYYYYYY was a BLAST! Pay day {in my world 💰 } means paying all this months bills, money in savings, money in ANOTHER savings, pay that DEBT... oh and SPOIL SOME OF THE COACHES ON THE SUPERCREW! Do you know what a “working set” is? ⬇️ . . A lot of times I’ll catch myself telling my friends things like, “I lifted ____ and it was so much easier than I thought!” And when I say these things I realize that I’m not counting my sets correctly! If you’re following a workout program/plan, or you just planned a workout the morning of, and it says “3 sets”, this should be 3 *WORKING SETS* . . If your first set is easy, and doesn’t challenge you, then don’t count it. Increase your weight and then count the next set as the first set! Continuously doing light weight that doesn’t cause you to struggle by any means isn’t going to give you the results we all want. So add more weight, grab heavier dumbbells, and COUNT PROPERLY! Sometimes I wonder how I manage to do all that I do, especially lately!! 😂 It’s absolutely incredible the difference from a few years ago to now!! I have so much more energy, I can handle so much more on my plate and I can get thru it all with a lot less stress and anxiety then I used to!! Every minute I spend working out and every time I chose to eat healthy is worth it bc of how great I feel bc of those choices!!!

I love to brain storm with new ideas. Not all if them actually execute perfectly but if I don't try I'll never know...just like like in life Just go for it .. As soon as I started mixing up my Matcha Birthday Cake waffle batter (see prior post) I knew I was making this! So I made a couple smaller sized waffles, got a scoop of French Vanilla ice cream and smushed it in-between two of the waffles. Stuck it in the freezer to harden up the ice cream before adding the #darkchocolate rice sprinkles to the sides then put back in freezer to refreeze again for a bit. This final bit was the hardest part of the whole process... Couldn't wait to enjoy this #matcha waffle ice cream delight. Dinner : veggie burger, buttered bagel, steamed broccoli with a bit of olive oil, grated hard cheese (!) with chips (!!) and salad. I didn’t weigh it either. Had a breakdown halfway through, ran to bedroom screaming/sobbing; let R snuggle me, pulled myself together. Had one glass of wine for bravery.. And now i’m gonna have pudding. What good really comes from checking your notifications first thing right after you wake up? I was in the habit of doing this very act for a long time. It wasn't rolling over to kiss my partner. It wasn't giving thanks for another day of life. Not writing down my first thoughts upon waking. I always reached straight for my phone and usually was disappointed and put in a poor MINDSET. Maybe I got an email from a client that wasn't in my favor, not receiving a message from a certain someone, noticing I forgot about an appointment, etc. I was putting myself in a bad mood before my day even started! Happening to you? No worries, easy fix. Don't check your phone until you are in the right mindset to handle what may or may not be waiting for you on your phone. Takes me 30 minutes to do this. I ponder on my day, stretch, have a heart of gratitude and prepare myself mentally! Do it next time you wake up. Make a conscious decision to not let your phone be the first thing you touch.
