Sunsets in Fiji are lit 🔥
There are a s!@$load of entrepreneur-focused events and retreats out there... I've attended a lot of these events and I always get massive value out of going. Surrounding myself with people who think big and who think about being more successful - on all levels - causes me to up my own game.
So why the hell would I start a business in this space (with Mastermind Adventures last year)? As mentioned, I've attended a lot of the events mentioned above. I love and have enjoyed them all for different reasons. But for me (and this is my personal preference)... I have more success in small groups and I would always prefer to stay longer (most are 2-3 days). And after a few days in conference rooms, I go a little crazy and need to get outside.
So with Mastermind Adventures, my approach is:
1. Small groups
2. Longer events (5-7 days)
3. Heavy dose of awesome adventures activities.
Also while there tends to be plenty of business-related content at my events, I tend to favor deeper, less tactical conversations, workshops and speakers. There are lots of events (and tons of courses) where I can learn about digital marketing, for instance, but where can I turn to to have deeper conversations about how to manage my company and staff when I'm seriously depressed? Or how to balance my ambitious entrepreneurial desires with my intimate relationship? Or how to biohack my brain and body so that I'm operating at maximum capacity?
These are the types of conversations and learning opportunities I favor when I curate my events and content. Getting amazing people outdoors, pushing themselves and each other seems to facilitate deep connection and learning.
So there you have it. That's why I think there's an opening in the world for a little company that puts on small events for big-minded entrepreneurs who ask big questions.
If you think that sounds like you, and this sounds like a fit, shoot me a PM and I can tell you more (Fiji and Utah are in the cards for 2019), or visit http://mastermind-adventures.com.
Here's to you and your adventures!
Pure Bliss 💕
Some time away to relax, is always a good idea.
Where is your go to holiday destination?🏝️
📍 South Sea Island, Fiji
What better way to experience the traditional kava ceremony than at the home of local Fijians! Fijians are some of friendliest people I've ever met! I met with this group early in the day, later they invited me to explore the city that ended up drinking kava in one of their houses! For me this is a true culinary adventure. #kava #suva #suvafiji #fiji #fijiankava #yaqona #traditionalcostume #newfriends #southpacific

Wanderlust swims in my blood.
Here’s a throwback for ya: Fiji 2012. Beqa island. I had just finished my PADI certification in the lagoon off this island. Managed to get my then boyfriend to study and pass the test with me FOR this trip - no small feat for either of us. Fiji would be the no. 2 soft coral spot in the world. And here it would be my first dives ever in an entire ocean. Shark dive - NO CAGE. Night dive with a twitchy torch. Sunsets getting lambasted on the boat by flying fish. Diving during a storm when waves were completely nauseating topside, but the water absolutely serene below the chop. Diving a shipwreck. Crying into my mask upon seeing a sea turtle and whimpering into my reg for the few minutes I was able to sit with it. Discovering new and fascinating nudibranch hidden in the coral and the one Spanish Dancer that swished across my mask lol. Nearly swam head first into several lion fish...I could go on.
The conch in this pic was a triumph all it’s own. Days I had searched the ocean floor for any beautiful shell to keep with me. Found a shark tooth on the shark dive. Lost it 🤦🏻♀️. Every large shell I’d find, I’d peek in and upon seeing no recognizable life I’d carry it along with me on the dive. Without fail, the shell’s inhabitant would tickle my fingers and I’d have to surrender it back to the ocean floor. Defeat.
Last dive day. We descend. As I’m slowly drifting to the ocean floor...I see it...and I’m coming right down on top of it. An entire ocean and here is my shell! And it’s ABANDONED! My last dive day. My gift from the Fijian sea. This is the face of a very happy, very sunkissed island girl with her precious gift! And this is where my outdoor adventures truly began if I’m honest. Not bad for a first timer! 🇫🇯💖
