Yesterday, we saw hundreds of "shooting stars🌠" on a moonless night in Joshua Tree. ❤
Watch out for bison jams at #Yellowstone
National Park. As nice as wildlife like bison look, they’re wild and unpredictable. Remember to never approach wildlife. The safest -- and often best -- view of wildlife is from inside a car. Always stay at least 100 yards away from bears and wolves, and at least 25 yards away from all other animals, including bison and elk. Be sure to stay in your vehicle if you encounter a wildlife jam, and do not feed wildlife. Animals that become dependent on human food may become aggressive toward people and have to be killed. A hazy but pretty spectacular view of Crater Lake.

Have you ever wanted to visit Moraine Lake? The water and peaks are amazing! Drop a comment if you want to visit...
You can never go wrong chasing waterfalls.
Gratitude for all the trees and other flora working hard in #olympicnationalpark
to clean the air of all the smoke from the many, many fires in Washington and BC. It’s amazing how much clearer the air was in the forest than just outside of it.

A huge (and somewhat belated) shout out to everyone who wished me a happy birthday. It was a day filled with caffeine, wildfire smoke, stick and pokes, shooting stars, heat lightning, rain dances, and camping out. I’m so grateful for all my friends and family who inspire me to keep going each day, and especially thankful for the opportunity to live and work in such a beautiful park. Cheers to another revolution around the sun ☀️ .

Hollowed out snowfields make for the best for caves ❄️

The white light is the moon and the yellow light is from a cabin in the mountains
After total cloud and smoke cover on my birthday, I was extremely grateful for how clear the air was yesterday morning. This photo was taken after ascending through an ice cave to the base of Going to the Sun Mountain about 3 hours before the Howe Ridge wildfire became noticeably apparent in the Logan Pass skyline. It’s incredible how quickly things can change here in Glacier National Park. Be safe out there and stay mindful 🔥
Shots of the smoke slowly making its way through Logan Pass and into the St. Mary valley as seen from Going to the Sun Mountain yesterday afternoon 🔥
Hazy sunset summit photos from Matahpi Peak last night. Burnt leaves and ash rained down from an eerily smoky sky while the blood orange sun set behind Piegan Mountain 🔥
