Brought the maze over for a good night of training at the Temple NH Fire Department last night. These guys know how to get after it!
It’s not that cold.... Join the fun and help the Wautoma Water Ops Team raise funds that are vital to their success in search and recovery missions. They’re hosting their 6th Annual Polar Plunge this Sunday at 12:00pm on Silver Lake near Silvercryst. Then warm up with a hot, delicious meal at the restaurant after! 🏊🏼♂️🏊🏻♀️

I wrote this in 2016. I needed it today. -
My life imitates my athletics now days...or is it that my athletics imitate my life?
I seem to continuously be in cycles of peaks and valleys. In the gym some days feel amazing. The weights sometimes feel like they are half as heavy as they should be and other times those same weights feel like they are double.
Sometimes my life feels the same way. Some days the tasks to be done seem simple. It feels as if the weight of my circumstances are light and easy. Other days it feels as if I'm being crushed by my circumstances. Sometimes life hits me and I can't figure out how to break the weight off the ground.
It's in these moments in life and in my training that I must remember that when my body is weakest many times my mind and spirit are strongest.
I'm still learning to listen in the silent places when things break bad; or I perceive them as bad. Tough times come for us all. We all have valleys but we can't stay there. We've got to move. Every single one of us has a purpose and it's not achieved by staying in the valley but rather by learning from that rough spot and moving forward. When I've been hit by a rough spot in life or in my physical training it's likely a good time for training something else for that day. Mind, body and spirit. When one piece is weak train one of the others but keep moving forward.
Your purpose may be found in the valley but it's not fulfilled by you staying there.
Now get up and MOVE! -
