I fractured my pelvis a couple years ago in a terrible accident, I was a pedestrian hit by a drunk driver. I am so thankful to God that I am walking to this day and healthy. I love back day more than most other days. I leave exhausted and I always get a really good pump on. That means I never have a “meh” back day where I’m kinda disappointed. This new cardio program has me like 😴 . . Seriously, I did NOT want to workout today. Usually it’s not hard not for me to push play. I know, for me, it’s better than letting anxiety control my life again. I NEED my exercise for that, and I know it. . . But today? Today I almost talked myself out of it. I tried to get Wyatt to let us eat pizza for dinner. (After I just pigged out on popcorn and m&ms at the movies last night 🙄) . . “But your knee hurts” which is does. “Just take a day off, who would really care?” “You’re so tired, you should just relax” . . Then I reminded myself I ate like crap from Halloween to Jan 13. . . If my knee hurts too much during, I’ll just modify. . . Ryden goes to sleep at 9pm, get everything done and go to slee early. . . It’s that simple. You just have to make yourself sometimes. Do you always feel like showering? Do you always feel like brushing your teeth? Do you feel like getting up to pee at night? Before I became a mom I went to the gym 6-7 days a week. Fitness has always been a passion of mine and I love working out. I worked out my entire pregnancy and often feared my water would break at the gym (it didn’t thank God 😂)! I had such a healthy pregnancy and easy labor. Being active during pregnancy played a huge role in that, as well as my postpartum recovery. I couldn’t wait to get back to the gym - not to lose weight but because I just enjoy it! Once I was able to workout again my husband and I worked hard to manage our schedules so we could both get to the gym. Now there have been too many days where we were juggling our schedules too much and I just wasn’t able to make it there. I started working out at home and I’m finding that home workouts fit a lot better with my life and I’m able to be consistent! I still love the gym and go when I can, but these home workouts have been a life saver lately and I’m really enjoying them.
