So. I did a THANG today!! . Something I’ve been wanting to do for a LONG time...something that (if I’m being honest) I’ve been putting off because I was SCARED AF!! . What if I suck at this? What if I look like an ass?? What if I make a complete fool of myself? What if I fail?? What if...??? . But. What if I ROCK IT?? What if this is totally my jam...and I was too chicken to go for it?? . REGRET is not something I’m comfortable living with. SO. I. DID. IT. 👏👏👏 . . It was scary. I was nervous. But I also had a TREMENDOUS amount of fun. And I can’t wait to start bringing INSANITY LIVE fitness classes to my fit frannnns!!! . . . And BTW...this totally took the place of my regularly scheduled CARDIO FLOW from 80DO!! 🖤🌟✌️

Why women shouldn’t strength train 😱 There are extreme risks when it comes to strength training for females. We need to take into consideration that attempting to lift heavy weights comes with side effects. 1️⃣ You most likely will build muscle. What female would want to turn into a calorie burning machine due to their increased muscle mass? Seriously it’s disgusting to see all these women walking around with toned arms and strong thighs. Who do they think they are squatting heavy and picking up dumbbells? 2️⃣ Confidence Women don’t want to walk around with their heads held high due to the confidence boost picking up something heavy will give them. 3️⃣ Increased Energy Exercise gives you endorphins- endorphins make you happy- happy people have more energy. Who would want that? 4️⃣ Ability to eat more food This is just wrong! Strength training requires food to build muscle and I know that women only want to eat salads and sip skinny tea. They don’t want to crush steaks and carbs. No way. No how. 5️⃣Lululemon Girls who workout wear lululemon. They fill out the leggings and men stop and do a double take when they walk by. Women hate being noticed for all their hard work. If these side effects scare you like the ones at the end of a commercial do me... I’d stay far far away from the gym. You don’t want to accidentally become strong. I would always wear a shirt and shorts to swim or just didnt bother to go swimming 😬 - I got this bikini last year after a couple months of surgery and yet I still wore a shirt underneath ( also because I couldn’t have the sun hit my scars) I wasn’t confident yet. It was something new to me to show off my body. I never had a flat stomach even when I was little. Now , I’m confident and come to accept that this my new bod. A mom of 3 kiddos who managed to change her life for the better. Ein Thema, mit welchem ich aktuell öfter konfrontiert werde ist das aktuelle "Frauenbild" 🤦🏼‍♀️. Ständig werde ich dafür kritisiert "zu viel" Oberkörper zu haben, sei es Rücken, Arme oder Schultern. Manche Menschen meinen sich krampfhaft in mein Training bzw mein Leben einmischen zu müssen & mich in eine ganz bestimmte Schublade stecken zu wollen: dünn, flacher Bauch, straffe Beine & großer Po! Allerdings ist das GAR NICHT mein Ziel! Besonders in Instagram gibt es viele 'Fitness Influencerinnen', die dieses Frauenbild extrem populär machen. Was viele aber nicht beachten: trainiert man nur die besagten "weiblichen" Muskelgruppen, kommt es meist zu einem unstimmig aussehenden Körper & zu schlechter Körperhaltung (Vernachlässigung Rücken & dauerhaftes 🍑 Training = Hohlkreuz). Genau das will ich eben nicht! Ich bezeichne mich nicht umsonst als BODYBUILDERIN! Ich möchte einen symmetrischen, ästhetischen & vorallem gesunden Körper, da ich diesen Sport noch einige Jahre weiter durchziehen möchte. Außerdem ist es für mich unvorstellbar keinen Oberkörper zu trainieren, da ein gut trainierter Rücken zum Beispiel wichtig für die korrekte Ausführung bei Kniebeugen oder beim Kreuzheben ist (Stabilität!). Zudem macht das Oberkörpertraining uns Frauen auch nicht "breit" oder "männlich"! Natürlich nimmt man an Muskelmasse zu aber Frauen haben auch ihr natürliches Maximum & das liegt weit unter dem der Männer, außer man nimmt eben sowas wie Anabolika! 😂 Also streicht das mal aus eurem Kopf, falls ihr das Oberkörpertraining deshalb vermeidet. (PS: ich glaube nicht, dass ich irgendwie "maskulin" aussehe & ich trainiere schwer Oberkörper & das 3 mal die Woche). ABER: Leben & leben lassen! 🙌🏼 Fun fact: Tatsächlich trainiere ich am liebsten Schultern (😍) & Arme, erst dann folgen die Beine & der 🍑. Warum?
