Day 9! It's day 9 of our challenge and I'm feeling friggin gooood!🤘🏼I'm going alcohol free this round 🍸🚫. Which I think is making quite the difference in how I'm feeling 😊 It can be challenging. Especially on weekends when all the things are going on. But then I remind myself that I don't have to be doing what everyone else is doing and just allow myself to grow. Shout out to all the girls working on their bodies...because that shit's hard and I'm proud of you! 👊🏻💥 . These posts are hard...sharing these photos are even harder!!! I used to be ashamed of my body and hated being in a bathing suit ..especially in public. I thought - PERFECTION was the only way to be. I starved, binged, swallowed pills, you name it - to try to get to that perfect body type I always was in search for. . I realize now, there is no perfect body type....we are beautiful just the way we are. 💜It took me a LONG time to be able to look in the mirror and be happy with myself, especially my flaws. But I don't even look at my flaws as "flaws" anymore. My stretch marks are badges from having my kiddos. My cellulite...well, I have it - who cares!?! It's not about being skinny anymore - it's about being BODY confident & HEALTHY for the long haul. . Becoming a coach has been the scariest, yet most, 👌🏻😄rewarding things thus far in my life. I was scared to put myself out there, but helping others with the same issues I have dealt with and getting them to jump on the confidence bandwagon has been priceless! 🙌🏻Being a part of one KICK ASS community is the icing on the cake! 🎂 . Here I am in my 30s and still trying to figure my body out. I let myself develop bad habits over the winter and found myself really struggling to overcome them. A couple of years ago, I might have resorted to severely restricting caloric intake. I might have exercised multiple hours each day, panic stricken, anxious to return to a certain number. I developed body dysmorphia in my early teenage years, eventually nose diving into a spiral of depression and weight management. After 8 years at a healthy weight, it’s still a battle I fight regularly. I never quite feel like ‘enough’ and it results in missed opportunities and connections. This time around though, I remained confident that I would eventually circle back to a place where I felt fit and healthy, giving myself more time and reducing anxiety. How I burn 1000 calories more per day with no extra exercise 🤩⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ I used to believe that maybe my metabolism was just broken. That I had mistreated my body for too long and that I would be forced to keep a low calorie diet for the rest of my life😢 ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Our bodies are amazing at keeping us alive, so when we diet what happens is that it gets really good at being efficient with it’s calories. It stops fueling unimportant things such as your period🦈, and it makes digestion slower 💩 and minimizes your subconscious movements. All to save energy so that it will survive⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ This was great when we were cavemen and had to hunt down our food, but now that the supermarket is close by and has a sale on ice-cream I think most of us would like to be able to eat more😋⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Luckily there is a way to do just that! It’s called reverse dieting, and what it is is basically slowly increasing our calories so that we can improve our metabolism without gaining much if any weight🤩⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ I used this approach to go from 1800 to 2800 calories with minimal weight gain before I started to actually work to gain weight and had to increase my calories to over 3000😱⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ If you want to hear more comment down below or slide into my DMs with your questions. 🌟💕No one is you and that is your power 🌟💕 . For so long I tried to alter who I was to fit in. I just wanted to be accepted. And guess what, I was fricken miserable! I was so unhappy worrying about what others thought of me and not being true to myself. Thankfully I stumbled upon a community of positive and like minded individuals who embraced their inner flaws and lived their truth. They’ve influenced me and helped me accept myself for who God made me to be. I strive to be me 100% of the time because why live any other way?! And you know what, my true friends are still here, my family is too because they love me for who I am not what they or others or society thinks I should be. Do I still question my quirkiness? Yes, but I know that’s just negativity and insecurity trying to tell me not to show my true self. I know now to ignore those voices because I’m constantly reading personal development books, listening to podcasts, reading daily affirmations and am reengaging with my faith through devotionals and prayer. If I’m not feeding my mind with positivity and self improvement regularly than the negative thoughts take over again. Basically what I’m trying to say is you can’t live your best life unless you are truly being yourself. Who cares what others think?? You don’t need people in your life that you can’t be yourself around. Please always remember that no matter what God loves you and accepts you 100% and always will. I challenge you to show people who you truly are instead of hiding behind something you aren’t. You never know what difference you can make in the world just by being yourself 🌟💕

💪🏻 Anyone else have friends who eat ONE salad & text you a photo to prove it like they gonna be fit tomorrow?! 😂 Guys, it doesn’t work that way! Listen, one healthy meal isn’t gonna make you fit just like treating yo self to that heavenly pizza once in a while isn’t going to ruin your progress! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ It’s about BALANCE & focusing on trying to CONSISTENTLY fill up that beautiful bod on the regular with tons of the good healthy stuff that makes you FEEL GOOD (hint hint plants 🥦🥑) & not beating yourself up & throwing in the towel when you cheat or indulge here & there ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ And please, for goodness sakes 🙏🏻, If you cheat one day, you STILL have to eat the next! NO, you don’t have to fast for a day & spend two hours on the treadmill. Just breathe! It’s not that serious. You deserve that cheat meal once in a while. Nothing changes if nothing changes! With that in mind today, I consciously changed my inherent need to push myself beyond my comfort zone in my yoga practice... and a miracle happened! I could actually go deeper into my sitting forward fold with split 😍 . . My wrists have been a little tender over the last 4 days. I've been icing them and they already feel better. But still I decided to show some self love and practice hands-free for yet another day. Hence, it was mostly core, chest and hip openers that I worked on. Today's been a good session ☺ . .
