Work. Packed classes, client waiting lists — I’m crushing it, I tell myself. Kids. Max all of a sudden is having separation anxiety, doesn’t want me to leave. It’s all I can think about. Little kid issues, tugging at my strings — they need me more. Work. I’m falling behind. Emails need answering. Do I choose my ‘to dos” or sleep? Kids. Trying to be a great mom and do all the special things. In school birthdays, volunteer for school things, etc — how do full time working Moms do all this? Back to work. So many new upcoming events. I'm not going to lie, this was a rough weekend for me. I skipped the gym Saturday and Sunday to spend time with my family which was amazing, but I binged on so much unhealthy food, that I felt so crummy at the end of the day. Now it's Monday, and it's time to get back to the grind. Just because I have one bad weekend doesn't mean that my goal is out of reach. Two days will not break me. I will use this weekend to motivate myself, and to remind myself not to be so strict on my diet. So today was leg day! This dish is best heated up in a pan to bring out all its natural flavors & to not completely destroy the ingredients. But we realize that you may not have the luxury of always doing this so using a microwave is perfectly fine! We recommend covering the meal with a damp paper towel to ensure keeping the dish nice and moist when heated as well as heating for 90 seconds to 2minutes. Routine: I am definitely a creature of habit. I do things in specific ways. Rather OCD about it really. 😬🤷‍♀️ the bad part of this, if for some reason it gets interrupted, I feel SO out of sorts. . Like, I literally brush my teeth in a specific pattern. If I lose track of where I am, I start over. I gotta make sure I get all of them squeaky clean! 🤪 . Last week, my routine got massively interrupted by a new child in my daycare. He needed my constant supervision, like a helicopter. Not my usual way of doing things, but it just had to happen. This threw me WAY off all week. My workouts suffered (although they got done), my nutrition suffered (hardly ate enough), and my relationships suffered (I was DRAINED by the end of the day). . Today was my reset day! Today I made things happen. It took more effort and planning on Sunday. But I made my workout happen during nap time and got my nutrition in. I feel better for it!! . With only 20 min, I was able to squeeze in a killer workout and still have some time to do other tasks. Let me tell you, 20 min may be short, but it doesn’t mean easy! I’m loving it! Now on to my soccer game tonight. 🙌 ⚽️
What time of day do you workout? . This morning I was out of bed at 5:20am to hit the gym before Ben had to leave for work. It felt like it was -25 degrees outside, but I still made it happen 🙌🏼 . I’m the type of person where if I don’t get a workout in first thing in the morning or at least by noon, the chances of me actually completing said workout are slim to none 😅 I am sooooo unmotivated to get to the gym or even turn on an at home workout by mid afternoon like nope not happening, don’t sign me up for that 🙅🏼‍♀️ it’s how I’ve always been. Even when I worked 10 hour days or had an early class, I would literally roll out of bed and drive straight to the gym. It sets me up to have a good day and feel oh so good about myself! . If you desire to go to the gym or workout first thing in the morning, prepare the night ahead! 1️⃣ I always lay out my workout clothes and have my shoes, headphones, etc. ready to go so I don’t have to spend the morning frantically looking for all of it 2️⃣ Set an alarm and DO NOT snooze it. I’ve never been an alarm snoozer and I only set one. Just one. When that alarm goes off, get up! 3️⃣ That’s pretty much all I got 🤷🏼‍♀️😂 I sometimes preload my coffee grounds and fill it up with water so I have less to worry about when I get home from the gym and have coffee motivating me ☕️ I don’t eat anything before I workout if I’m working out that early, just personal preference. If you are hungry when you wake up or need something in your system because you KNOW you don’t do well on an empty stomach, then obviously eat something! Calories in vs calories out, don’t make it complicated 🙅🏼‍♀️

Having a Vata/Pitta mind body type, I really need regular routines and grounding food. Most recent x-rays... if you don’t understand why this is significant, you first need to know that the structure of spine affects neurological function and if the spine is out of alignment it interferes with normal physiology and biomechanics. This is not as bad as where I started my health journey, my worst was a -24 degree curve (from an injury when I was 5 years old and wasn’t found until my 20’s) But I was at a +30 degree curve before I was pregnant. The lower part of my neck, the white line should be at the green line. That is where the neuroendocrine system connects from the brain to the thyroid. In my low back, the angle affects the nerves going to my digestive system where around 70% of the immune system is. I struggled on medications for autoimmune and hormone issues as a teenager, and I don’t want to wait until symptoms come back before I fix this. The body needs no help, just no interference. Postpartum is such an important time to go through structural correction because the hormone relaxin increases 10 fold during pregnancy which allows the ligaments that stabilize the SI joint stretch. Past weakened areas in the body can become more pronounced due to this and affect your health years down the road. Working on my classic tuck, it’s messy but it’s progress. Handstands are difficult for me and an inconsistent practice simply doesn’t work. I took the time to watch @kinoyoga YouTube video to assist and slowly becoming more comfortable.
