Ansonsten gibt es aber nicht viel zu berichten. Mini geht es auch langsam wieder besser. Heute geht's erst nochmal zur Kontrolle und dann wird der Tag hoffentlich entspannter als die letzten Tage.

When I look into this mother’s eyes— I see an exhausted Mom. Today was unproductive— no workouts, dirty dishes are still in the sink and only half the food is prepped. .
But what I also see in this picture is a genuine smile, tons of gratitude and pure love for this little girl and little man. I reminded myself what a gift they are and how fast time is going by. .
So to the Mom who is having a hard day or week or even month— you’re doing a great job. Remind yourself what a gift it is to be a Mom and how fast the years fly by. .

Quick workout today. Calves and abs as follows:
🛶 Standing calf raises (smith machine) 6x10
🛶 Kettlebell side crunch 6x15
⛵️Donkey calf raises 3x20 (swipe to see video) original method has you put your workout partner on your back... seeing as I workout solo, a 45lb plate works 😉

Our home space is also our workout space. My husband and I make it work the best way we can for our little one and our busy schedules. Sometimes we have to pause our workouts, and that’s okay. I have to remind myself that our son won’t be this little for long. 😭

When it comes to fitness, working out or going to the gym in general...everyone has their own reasons and/or personal goals that they want to achieve. For me it’s my “out”. It’s the one place I go to that I feel only I can stop myself. It saves me, as cliche as that may sound. Physically, (because we are all our own worst critics) emotionally, (because I would lose it!) and mentally (because adulting can be extremely hard!). We all have our ups & down, our happy days, rough days & “can I get through this day?” days...but when all said and done, making my mind & body a priority, my health a top factor in my life, my SANITY in check...squeeeeezing it into my upmost busiest days...my answer is fitness. However I need to get the job done, I get it done.
Today was a heavy lifting type of day for me & I am already feeling it. It’s exactly what I needed and exactly what I wanted to accomplish. Of course topped off with some rusty handstands.🙃

When I first started this journey I didn’t believe in myself. I didn’t think that I’d be the person to get up in the mornings to do my workouts, but now I get up at 5:45 every morning and I LOOK FORWARD TO MY WORKOUTS!
