Healthy doesn’t have to suck!
What is your favorite everyday healthy treat?
Chicken fried rice! Would you believe if I told you this rice and grain free? Not even when you reach the bottom of the bowl. Fight me if you don’t believe it. I mean, it’s basically salad disguised as Chinese food and I don’t hate it. 😂
I always forget how much food this make but worth every serving. Check out the recipe video on my blog! www.healthywothouthassle.com
A couple of years ago my doctor had told me get on a diet, lose some weight and that every pain in my body would go away. I saw a nutritionist, I tried diets, I tried juicing, cut out carbs completely, portioned my food...and sometimes I did lose a few lbs. But the truth of the matter was that I always fell off. .
Never had time to exercise, it was too much work to keep up with a diet, I always lost motivation. And here I was again at point A. Worst of all - when I fell off I gained ALL the weight back and MORE. In the end I was even worse off than when I started.
There is no such thing as a magical pill or a miracle solution. There are no quick fixes or fad diets that are going to "fix" you.
What works?! Building healthy habits for LIFE. Learning to eat real food in the right portions for YOUR body, with out feeling deprived. Workouts that work with YOUR busy schedule, not adding stress to your day. Surrounding yourself with a community of positive, encouraging people to motivate you along the way.
This is exactly what I needed. I practice these habits everyday and it is now my lifestyle, my journey. I have never felt so amazing and now I know what it is to LIVE life and not just exist in it . If you're ready to take control of your health, I would love to help you get started. Drop a 🌻 below and I will DM you.

Hours turn into days. Days into weeks. Weeks into months and months into years and if we aren’t careful, a whole life can pass us by & all we ever did was watch 👀 others live a life we want and accomplish goals we desire. Not sure if you’ve noticed but watching & wishing will only get you in the same spot you’ve always been 🤷🏻♀️. We’re already almost in the 4th month of this new year and my wish for you is that you’ve already taken action (whatever that may be) to start to improve and empower 👊🏻 your life because you’re so worth it and 💯% capable.
If you need a place to start, I’m here to help, you never do this alone 👯♀️! #movtivation #nutrition #healthylifestyle #fitnessaddict #justdoit #bethechangeyouwanttosee #fitlife #fitmommy #naturalglowingskin

- READ // Matthew 18:1-7
We might think our sins affect no one but ourselves, yet that’s not true. What we do impacts others whether we know it or not. And Jesus used strong terms to warn us: He said causing another person to sin would leave us worse off than if we were “drowned in the depth of the sea” with a millstone around our neck (Matt. 18:6). People observe what we do, and who of us is without sin? We may try to excuse ourselves by claiming that most of our sin is trivial—hardly a blip on the screen—so such small indiscretions will not be noticed by others, let alone be damaging to them. But let’s consider how some of our common sins can lead others down the wrong path. • Our lack of forgiveness towards someone could cause a close friend or family member to take up our cause and feel resentful too. • Anger that flares up in us at regular intervals may be copied by our children, who then think they, too, have the right to express their tempers whenever they want. • Lies we tell to get out of tight situations send a message—especially to children—that truth is optional, depending on the circumstances. • Conversations rife with gossip can severely damage the reputations of other people and cause listeners to sin by spreading the rumors.
The Lord’s warning should be taken seriously. We should consider the consequences of our actions and attitudes and then turn toward Jesus in confession and repentance. When we ask, He will give us the grace and strength to walk in His ways and influence others toward righteousness. - #regrann #GodsPrincess #lifehurtsGodheals #JESUSISCOMINGSOON #HolySpiritled #bibletruth #pray #strongwoman #warriorprincess #holyspiritcome #jesuslovesyou #strongwoman #singlemom #neveralone #nevergiveup #strengthinJesus #warriorprincess #fitfamily #fitmommy #JESUSISLORD
So many people focus on what was lost. That only brings sadness and depression. If you look at your past where you once lost something wonderful things came from it. Remember Ephesians 3:20 God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think. When we walk in obedience to the Lord he will bless us way more than we can ever ask for or imagine. Therefore were there was laws, no matter how much pain it caused you, look forward to hug God is going to bless you beyond your expectations because he will. Jesus loves you and Promises in his word to take care of us. God is a faithful God and that's a promise that we can stand on firmly.
God bless you and Trust in him. He knows what he's doing with our lives you just focus on being obedient to him and his Commandments.
Progress! 🤗🤗 Lets be honest, slow progress is mentally tough. It’s hard to stay motivated some days but I’ve been very consistent with one thing... if I’m able to go to the gym at whatever point in the day I make it happen. Whether it’s putting one kid down for a nap and taking the other to the childcare, going during both of their afternoon naps... or going at night. Especially with my baby having Croup.. it was rough!! Several days I of course stayed home because he needed me 24/7. But overall you HAVE to keep it up. Don’t give up. The time passes no matter what 🤔. Every hard workout is going to bring you closer to your goals. Feeling sorry for yourself and feeling like you’ll never get there- does you NO GOOD! It does me no good. I just remind myself that when and if I put in the work... the rest will follow. I have to do good for myself and make myself happy to be a better wife, mom, nurse.... HUMAN. 💖👏🏼💪🏼
Transformation for me wasn't just about getting my body fit, it was about transforming who I was internally as well.
Becoming anew in mind and spirit is what mattered most to me. Healing old wounds from my past that were keeping stagnant in my present, blind to the prosperity of my future.
This time of transformation for me has been all about digging into my inner self and embodying all of who I am destined to be. I'm manifesting tf outta everything right now lol ✨💛💫 Are you taking advantage of this time of transformation? If so, what are you doing to evoke change?

The left picture brings back a lot of memories and there is a story behind it. I’ll tell you that story someday. I was broken. Broken beyond pieces and at the time I was so numb that I couldn’t even feel it. Not just weight wise. Emotionally and mentally. I was broken and thought I could never be repaired. I had done @ww
many times and at that point in my life, it wasn’t “clicking” nor sticking. Fast forward to today. Dude my Drivers license picture is HOT! For almost being a woman in her mid-thirties, I’m tooting my own damn horn. Granted right now, at this very moment something isn’t “clicking” but at least I’m not where I used to be. Every one and their mother can tell you to, “Get it together” but the truth is- you won’t until you are hungry for it (again) You can push the “Reset” button as many times as you like. Remember that. Please don’t compare your journey to another. If your stalled, keep clapping for those who are doing their things so vice versa. This journey is tough as it is- don’t be so hard on yourself and know you are not alone ❤️💕
You won’t always be motivated so you must learn to be disciplined. Grow up and start making mature decisions for your health whether you feel like it or not 💪🏋🏻♀️🏃🏻♀️💃🏻🤸🏻♀️⛹🏻♀️🤾♀️🧘🏻♀️🏊🏻♀️
When you’re a Black girl and you gotta protect your curls AND still get that workout in! Bonnets for days!😂😂 I’ll never forget the time an ex asked me to put my curly hair into a bun so I could meet his friends😒 I used to really trip about what people thought of me...these days...I stand firm in my Queendom!!💯🙌🏽💁🏽♀️💕 There’s a certain magic that every Black woman possesses within her! You may not ever be able to name it or put your finger on exactly what it is but you should damn sure treasure it if you ever get to stand in her essence! I know there’s a force within me that was passed down from my ancestors! They had to be strong and resilient to get through all the injustices they suffered...so I know that when I put my full force behind anyone...especially my man...I’m gifting them with that magic. That strength. That wisdom! Look, I’m just out here saying...if you were blessed enough to be loved by a Black woman, don’t be dumb and misuse her! I see a lot of my sisters being treated like they didn’t come from Kings and Queens...I was one of them! Enough is enough! We are fire! We are ice! We are fucking magic! All at once! Put some respect on our name! That’s all y’all!💯 I just wanted to tell y’all I worked out today and it turned into a stamp of love to my Black Queens out there reppin’ for the culture!😂😂 #blackgirlmagic

The mental part of sticking to a routine like working out consistently is usually the hardest part! But when we listen to our inner voice that says "I don't feel like it today. Take the day off" THAT'S when we run into problems... because one day of not showing up just because you don't feel like it turns into a week and then into a month and all of the sudden you're right back to square one. Back to the place you were when you so desperately wanted to make a change!
Of course, it's okay to take a day off! I'm not crazy! But evaluate your reasons for taking that day off... are you taking the day off just because you don't feel like it or is that a part of your plan and your body really needs it!
Just like everything else, be intentional about your movement! Make a plan and stick to it! Rest when your body needs the rest, but don't listen to that inner lazy girl!! Show her who's boss and show up anyway! I promise you won't regret it!
Mothers and daughters who work out together have a STRONG bond. 💪🏻
Hot topic of the week: should you workout on your period? Absolutely! I’m amazed many trainers don’t talk about this.
Breaking a sweat while on your period can ease your cramps by enhancing circulation, increase your energy, improve your mood (thanks endorphins!) and sleep, and curb your cravings.
The following workout is super gentle and created to warm up your core. These are my go to period moves!
Hold each move for a few seconds and go at your own steady pace. Gentle and slow is key here! Aim for 12 reps per move with 3 sets.
Living life last summer vs. still living life 8 months pregnant!🤣I have grown so much since having Nyla almost four years ago. Learning how to not put so much value on weight and clothing sizes has been a long freaking journey.
In the past I would congratulate myself and celebrate if the scale went down. If the scale went up I would guilt myself and immediately go on a “diet” only to give up in week 1 or two.
As I get older, I’m learning to appreciate my body in various stages and just wanted to share some tips with you!
1. Don’t try to shame and guilt yourself through your fitness journey. That’s not positive motivation and you most likely won’t keep working on yourself for long.
2. Unfollow social media accounts that make you feel like you have to be a certain look in order to be fit.
3. Take your time if you need to. Some women jump all in and some need to take things a bit more slowly.
4. Find a supportive friend or group to help you on this path. Stop sharing your wins with people who only want to bring you down.
5. Stop following every new trend or fad. Find what works for YOU.
6. Ask for help if you have no clue where to start or what to do.
7. Celebrate every win ALONG the way. Don’t wait until you hit your goal to get excited. I think this is where so many of us fall. If you celebrate along the way, you’re more likely to keep going. This is why I’m still celebrating myself and working out despite going much slower & having to skip the burpees.🤣 Much love to all my ladies working on themselves. I see you!

Tell yourself it’s going to be a great day, put one foot in front of the other and drive on being great. 👊🏽💪🏽
Your reflection is a picture of what you do.
Mine shows I’m a stressed mom who workouts regularly but also loves 🍕
I love working out now.
I might not always be motivated to start.
But I’ve never regretted once I have.
I love seeing results when you put in the work.
I love when you get to see how far you’ve come.
“Excuses are lies we tell ourselves so that it doesn’t have to be our fault”
I had EVERY excuse in the book today to not get my workout in. My kids woke up too early, my workout was too long, I was tired. It’s our second day back at life after vacation and I was already throwing out all of the excuses not to get back to the routine that I missed so much, simply because it wasn’t going the way I had planned 🤦🏻♀️. -
Thankfully I was able to cut my pity party short and push through my workout. It still wasn’t easy, but I felt SO much better once I was done.
Sunrise workout with my best girls off the coast of Haiti 💕 Someone pinch that this is my life and this is what I get to do for a living 💪🏼
💯💯Just showing you how much can change in just 1 month. Of course with working out and eating healthy. Don’t get me wrong I still indulge a little on the weekends. But I make sure I eat right all week and train all week. 💪🏼💪🏼 life is all about balance. I hope this helps you get motivated. 😁💪🏼💪🏼
