Jumping full force into this weekend. 👉🏼 So far today, the only responsible things I’ve done are feed and bathe Ellie. 🤷🏻♀️ I still have some housework to do, some actual work, and a workout. Other than that, I’ve spent my Saturday relaxing and doing a bit too much online shopping. [E probably didn’t need two new pairs of shoes — oops. 🙃] BUT regardless of my minimal accomplishments so far today, I’m happy. It’s the weekend & I’m in no rush. 👍🏼
Still working on my center-split goal! I think this will probably take all year, but I’ve been trying to stretch out everyday. Some days I feel tighter than others, but I always feel relaxed at the end! What I’ve found works best for these long term goals is to break it up into shorter term goals so it doesn’t seem so out of reach.. So, I measured how high up I am from the ground while attempting my center-split using my fists.. and currently I am about 2 stacked fists high (this method of measurement is not suggested haha I just decided last minute to measure and was already in position.. which always takes a few minutes to get in and out of 😂) Anyway, my short term goal will be to get down to one fist by May 24. That will give me 2 whole months! The thing is, I honestly am not sure if my body will adjust that quickly, but I DO know, with consistency comes progress, so I WILL be closer to my goal! So, let’s just practice and see what happens! Any suggestions for specific stretches I should be doing?? Nursing a migraine takes everything out of me.... including my drive to get things done. I often curse them, but I know my life could be so much worse. This one is getting a bit better than what I started with. But it’s still lingering. .
If you suffer from migraines, what do you do that helps (aside from the usual drink water, sleep in a dark room, cold/hot therapy)? I’m open to suggestions.

My first attempt at Oatmeal Cookies didn't go very well. Heat was too high, for too long. A little too much banana and I didn't exactly mould them like cookies. Overall, I give myself a score of 5 out of 10. Taste good though. Waiting for the non-bake cookies in the freezer.

You can do this workout with little to no weight and still feel the burn if you do it correctly. Focus on keeping your core tight, shoulder blades contracted, and flat back.
🔸SLDL (single leg dead lift) 3x10 (use something to hold on to if you are a beginner) 3x10
🔸Split Squat (drive your head to the ceiling) 3x10 on each side
🔸Deadlift (hinge at your hips) ⚠️ WARNING ⚠️ If you cannot touch your toes, stay away from SLDL and dead lift. Work on the mobility first.👊🏼💪🏼😘

The worst attempt at a group selfie = a self love moment. I had been feeling so guilty about indulging while on vacation (I really need to learn to chill on that front) and felt so squishy. A couple days of moderate eating...drinking that much craved glass of wine and finishing my kids amazing lobster mac and cheese OMG isn’t going to make that much of a difference in my fitness journey.
