90 percent of the obese people are into emotional eating because since our childhood (in most of the cultures) we have been conditioned to associate food with sad times or celebrations but its high time to understand the real functions of food so whenever you crave for that chocolate pastry when you are stressed it's time to heal the issue /emotion and not distract yourself with food .At the same time developing the mindset that there are many ways to celebrate and spread joy apart from gorging on rich foods takes you a long way in maintaining good health and ideal weight.
To all the moms that follow me.. just want to remind you to get your body back is not a fast journey. It doesn’t happen overnight. It takes as long as you want it to, but you have to remember, you grew a baby 9 months, it takes a while to get your organs back in place, everything to shrink, and etc so be patient 😉

Transformation Tuesday: Pregnancy edition 😆 Left was the day after I found out I was pregnant and the right is now. It’s nice not having to worry about a flat stomach all the time, but it can sometimes be difficult seeing your body change when you’ve worked so hard. I’ll admit I’ve been struggling with this. While it sounds stupid, I’m human. But on the other hand I love seeing my body create a little human and it’s nothing short of amazing. I always try to be real with you guys, so I know some of you moms have struggled with how your body has changed with babies during and after pregnancy. I keep reminding myself, I’ll never get this time back (last baby for me). So I’m trying to enjoy it as much as possible. Embrace the beautiful Life your body is making.
While brother was at Scouts tonight, Boo and I went to the park. We ran around the full park + practiced some drills + foot work. We’re making this a weekly thing now. There’s nothing like some one on one with my best girl! 💖⚽️🦄
This transformation is so much more than just physical. It’s a constant reminder that I am much stronger mentally and physically than I think. That just because something is new or different it doesn’t mean it doesn’t work. That going against popular belief is sometimes the way to go and that when you put your excuses behind you and face the hard work - amazing shit can happen! .
I used to be that girl that went to the gym all the time. Stayed on machines for hours. Did a ton of cardio and lifted the best I knew how. I lost 10lbs at most. Then gained it back!
Why? Because I wasn’t actually learning a sustainable lifestyle that was surrounded around wellness. My goal was always “lose weight” and never “learn WHY I need to lose weight”, learn “WHY I need to put more effort into learning about nutrition and WHY eating healthier is important”. .
It wasn’t until I got really REAL with myself that I actually changed! When I made my HEALTH my #1
. Not my: ⭐️ “When the time is better I’ll work on my health”
⭐️ “When I have more time I’ll start”
⭐️ “When I can afford it I’ll do it”
⭐️ “When life isn’t so crazy I’ll get back to it”
I instead said: “My health is my #1
priority and everything else comes second, because I’m worth caring for and life is always crazy so the time is NOW”.
That is really when the magic happened. When I made a CHOICE. Yes, a choice because at the end of the day that is what it comes down too. A choice! How bad did I want it? As you can tell from my transformation, I wanted it and NEEDED this change in my health BAD so I made it happen!
I’m so proud of the hard work. It wasn’t easy, it was the hardest thing I’ve ever done and I can honestly say I’ve never stuck to anything like I’ve stuck to this! It was worth it and I ain’t done yet. Changing my life and all the ladies who joined me while at it! We making things happen because the time to live our lives to the fullest feeling our best is now!
I can see so much progress since last month! Incorporating heavy weight days into my routine is definitely paying off. And 2000 calories a day with 290g of carbs makes me a very happy person 😁😁 #musclegains

Hands up, who usually skips it!? 🙋🏼♀️ I’ll admit it, I do sometimes, especially if I’m short of time.
After a workout or a run is the best time to stretch because your muscles are warm. Stretching before exercise can sometimes lead to injury and some studies have even suggested it hinders performance.
Use your warm up for movements that increase your heart rate and save the stretches for afterwards.
Stretches that open out the chest (like the one in the pic) are great for mums. Us Mums spend a lot of time hunched over doing mommy things, so opening up the chest can really help with aches, pains and posture.

I’m off tomorrow for 5 days away from my fam jam and I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t a tad anxious. I feel terrible for my hubby and having all the kids by himself for that many days (nights) And I know they will be just that much older when I get back.

I started a tradition without knowing I was starting it when my first daughter turned 1. She loved elephants so I absolutely had to make her an elephant cake! Being an inexperienced baker, I had no idea what it took to make this cake. All of the cake was made right from the box but I did try to make my own frosting. 🤷🏼♀️ I didn’t realize that buttercream wasn’t a good medium in 85 degrees. But I got it done and it “kind of” looked like an elephant... with the trunk falling off and frosting melting off the sides. Eh, she just smeared it all over herself anyways!
So, the next year I attempted again and then every year after for my next two daughters as well. It’s kind of a contest against myself to see if I can do better than the trial before. From cupcakes to tiered cakes, my skill is improving slowly but surely.
This is my favorite one so far. It’s 100% homemade with buttercream frosting that didn’t slide off the side- 🙌🏻 It was delicious if I do say so myself. Next year will be better.
At first my husband thought this was crazy because I was spending so much time making these. But now he gets it. It’s now more of a tradition than anything else. The girls give me an idea or theme and I go for it. I love doing it, even though we are sooooo busy and could just pay someone else to do it. But I want the girls to remember me caring so much about them that I took days to create each of their birthday cakes or cupcakes 💕
Don’t be afraid to do something new because you might fail or you’ve never done it before. If it’s a passion or hobby, put in the time and effort to figure it out.
Fitness is the same journey. Your first time at the gym or trying a new workout program can be overwhelming. Don’t quit. Keep trying! Eventually you’ll improve and the success and pride you’ll feel will make all the flops worth it 💕

Today I hit another goal in my fitness journey! I am down another 4 pounds, making it a total of 34 pounds lost! 😭🙌🏽
I can’t say I’m where I want to be, but I’m definitely closer to my goal. No matter where I’m at or what I look like, I’ve learned to love myself every step of the way! By no means is it easy, and I fall off sometimes too! But you have to remember WHY you started and keep that in mind whenever you wanna give up! Don’t bail on you. TRUST YOURSELF and the process!
I’ve also learned to embrace the remnants of delivering a beautiful healthy baby: the stretch marks that follow and the belly button! Moms know what I’m talking about! Lol

Coconut Cake - Low Carb
1 can coconut milk
1/2 cup unsweetened coconut flakes
3/4 cup coconut flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 cup xilitol
1 cup coconut butter or 3/4 cup coconut oil
In a blender mix for about 1 minute mix 200ml of coconut milk, eggs, coconut, coconut flour xilytol and coconut butter; add the baking powder and mix the batter for another minute. Pour the batter in a non stick baking pan, and bake it for 30minutes at 375F. When the cake it’s ready, let it cool. Make a few holes and pour the rest of coconut milk. Serve it cold with coconut flakes on top.

Some days 50% feels like 💯 Today was one of those days as I was coming off a 12-hour work day, headed into another one.
And yesterday amongst the adrenaline and non-stop work I told myself “I couldn’t work out”, so I didn’t, and that was ok.
BUT, today I told myself another story. I told myself that I would work out NO MATTER WHAT. Even though I had a zillion things to do. 😱
So I did. And it was HARD. And it was exhausting. BUT I felt soooooo much better! And even better after my delicious, chocolatey post-workout shake 😋 The work was still there, but my mind felt sharper & ready to go back at it afterwards.
So dig a little deeper, you guys. Your goals, your mind, and your sanity are worth the “break”. Just go move your body, even if at 50%.

and the thought of starting over is giving you the blues. .
Mentally, I was no where close to being ready to get back on this journey after my 6 week checkup. Im now 4 mths post partum and these memories have me in my feelings.
People ask me why I stopped being a fitness coach . Well, I did it to spend more time with my family. .
I was spending nights, weekends consoling ladies who couldn’t figure out why the scale wasn’t moving and it left me feeling like i wasn’t really present for my family. I don’t know if i’ll ever go back to that fully but what i do know is that my instagram and facebook memories have me wondering what’s stopping me now? Well lack of sleep for one thing 😂😂🤣 .
But for real, This isn’t a pity post. I know it takes time. I know i just had a baby. I’m not beating myself up about it i’m just saying GAME ON. I’m challenging myself to at least try to be more consistent . That’s all . I didn’t put in all that work to just stay where i’m at. No way. This same picture almost won me a $1000 in a weight loss contest. I did that 👏🏾👏🏾 35 lbs lost. . Last time I put my mind to something I got back in my bikini stretch marks, cellulite, and all but i did it. So if you need some motivation, i got you. I don’t plan on stopping until im done 👊🏾 .
