This wasn’t me at my worst, but I’m confident to say this is me at my best.
When I started my journey, I did it because I hated my body. Even once I reached my “goal”, I worked out super hard and ate the way i did because i hated myself. That’s why I found myself feeling empty and lost.
So, what changed? I started investing as much into my heart and to my mindset as I did to my body. ⠀
Would you believe that if you get your mind right, losing weight becomes even easier?
Would you believe that if you get your mind right, you can love yourself no matter what the scale says, and no matter what you THINK you see in the mirror?
I only preach it because I practice it, and because I want EVERYONE to understand that fitness goes beyond weight, aesthetic, and performance.

She doesn’t remember the Mommy before. The one who was exhausted. The one who was edgy. The one who was sick and tired all the time. The one who dreaded the family picture. The one who cried in the dressing room time and time again. 🙍🏻♀️
She was 16 months old when I began my Fitness journey. 👶🏼 .
She’s never had to go to the daycare at the gym and cry so mommy could try and get a workout in. There were times I held her in place of weights during my exercises. There were times I had to pause and change her diaper.
There are times I have to pause to put a Barbie’s dress on or put their hair in a pony tail. She requests certain songs over and over again, especially “Rewrite the Stars....” and she will use the pull-up stand in the back to try and be Zendaya from the movie! 🌟 😍 .
And through all of these years, I am so immensely grateful to have been able to get healthy from the inside and out with my kids by my side. 💞
I believed for over a decade that if I spent any time on myself, I was taking away from my kids. What I have realized over the last three years is that by them seeing me take charge of my health, I am modeling they are worth the time, energy and investment now and forever. And that Mom isn’t always and doesn’t have to be last on the totem pole. 😉
20 Minutes Mama.......come and get on this train with me because in 2019 we are going to Transform in ways you and I can’t even imagine! 🤩
This place has taught me so much.
How to take out my anger and disappointment *
How to make peace with my body (** I could be having a tough day and 10 minutes of lifting showed me what I was capable of instead of what I wasn't) *
How to get out of my head and into my body (**this is when happiness occurs - when we can stop thinking about what we should do and instead take action) *
How 20 minutes benefited me ALL day (**20 min out of my day actually provided an afterburner effect that lasted all day #thoseendorphinsthough
Now, I'm not saying I've wanted to workout everyday of my life (I really haven't and I sometimes have more bad days than good but I know when my mind tells me to avoid it, that's when I need it the most. When even 5 minutes of doing something makes the biggest impact.
It's when I'm fighting those inner voices telling me not to bother, that actually bothering is EXACTLY what I need.

So many things have made me happy today!
1. I finished clinical today, so year 1 is officially done
2. I got lots of mail😂 corny.. but I love getting mail! I got my order... and I can not wait! To do this workout in January! .
I have had a long 2 months and I feel relieved that I got through it all, I feel accomplished that I stuck to my nutrition and workouts throughout all the stressful times. I wanted to quit multiple times but I just had to keep reminding myself that I’ll feel better once I did it. .
I had a week of eating like crap.. and you know what! I felt like complete GARBAGE! And I totally didn’t want to feel like that anymore. And it took me 2 weeks after that to feel better again! Every time I ate healthy or drank my shake I got stomach pains!
All that pain made me realize that eating like crap is totally not worth it! Yes I have cheat meals and treats here and there... but that’s how I keep on track.. if I didn’t I’d totally derail and have that shitty feeling again!
