2014 was a world where my existence was looking after my first born baby and not looking after my self. I ate tonnes of shit food to give me energy from the severe lack of sleep. I didnโ€™t think about the consequences as long as my baby was happy. . As time goes on and your kids start to grow up, you begin to realise that looking after yourself is important too. Your kids see you as a role model and care about you just as much as you care about them. . I remember thinking โ€˜where the fuck do I even begin!โ€™ And I also remember trying and giving up after a few weeks when I saw no difference and was sick of drinking slim fast shakes or whatever crazy diets there were to try. . If youโ€™re stuck and feel you are not getting anywhere then here is my advice to you from my own experience:- โ–ถ๏ธ stop trying these ridiculous diets that claim youโ€™ll loose 8lb in a week - you donโ€™t need to starve yourself to make progress. Itโ€™s actually quite the opposite! โ–ถ๏ธ yes food can make you gain fat but the RIGHT food can also make you can muscle. Choose wisely what you put in your mouth. And no it doesnโ€™t just have to be chicken and rice! โ–ถ๏ธ donโ€™t use your kids or work as a reason to not exercise. If you really want something bad enough then youโ€™ll make the time. Even if itโ€™s just 30 minutes a day at home! โ–ถ๏ธ stop comparing yourself to others and getting discouraged - you will make progress in your own time. Everyone is different. โ–ถ๏ธ find an exercise you enjoy! I hate cardio and used to think that was the only way to get slim. Because I hated it so much I would give up. Now Iโ€™ve found a passion for weight lifting, I donโ€™t see it as a chore. To me, this exercise is fun! โ–ถ๏ธ itโ€™s not an easy one but you have to be patient. Iโ€™m the most impatient person everrrrr but trust me your progress is happening when you canโ€™t even see it. Just be consistent and donโ€™t loose that will power! โค๏ธ

New day, new week, same motivation, same goals. Remember your why and get that shit done! Today was leg day and Iโ€™m for sure going to feel it tomorrow, but I wouldnโ€™t have it any other way. Every ache and pain makes me realise I donโ€™t have to accept things the way that they are. I have the final say over me: what I eat, how I look and most especially how I feel. Iโ€™ve not felt this energized in years. Getting up at 5am on a Monday morning to hit the gym to get an ass whipping doesnโ€™t seem crazy anymore, if anything itโ€™s the perfect start to my week! ๐Ÿคฃ. Monday Motivation . . . In the absence of my weekly progress pic (was in too much of a rush this morning) I thought Iโ€™d share my annual progress pic. There is a year between these two photos, so @myfitnesspal has just informed me, a year, 365 days!! Slightly shocked at my โ€œbeforeโ€ picture. As taking it I didnโ€™t think I had much to lose! Here is a very simple dish that's p great for dinner or lunch. Salmon, brown rice and a zucchini and onion mixture. The salmon was seasoned with Himalayan pink salt, peppercorn and dill for about an hour before cooking. Brown rive was done easily and quickly in a rice cooked, we added salt, pepper and a 1/4 tsp of olive oil to it before cooking to add a little more flavor and the Zucchini and onion were chopped and sauteed in coconut oil. Super easy and quick. Protein and complex carbs. . .
