Loading plates to a bar is like loading your emotions and every experience in your life. The bar represents the line and perfect form up your body. When you execute a deadlift correctly the bar will move close to your body and your body will pull the weight off the floor safely. The plates are everyone or everything you bring into your life and you let move with you. If you’re not mentally strong enough to pull the weights, you get injured, much like if you pull weight that’s too heavy for you. Then there are situations where you’ll load the plates but your safety is off and you forget to use your clip, then the plates / people or things fall off and you become unbalanced also causing an injury. These plates represent the weight that took your strength for granted and didn’t journey with you. Now you’re left with an injury that will take time and effort to recover on because you trusted the process and it failed you. I’ve learnt to carefully load my plates over the last half a year or so after lifting when I wasn’t ready to pull that much weight and I hurt myself. However just recently I let my form go and hurt myself again. When it comes to deadlifting, make sure that the plates you load are the right amounts for your soul and heart. These 2 are what drives your power, so look after them and they will make you stronger.
