A lot of us including myself act as if we are going to live forever. That our lives are eternal. We postpone our goals, we tend to always say that we have the time. When in reality tomorrow is not guaranteed. You should live in a way of saying if the “LORD Allows we will do this or that”. Because we can plan for future, we can waste 24 hours of the day doing nothing and Regret it later. Every hour counts. Remember never judge anyone, never look down on someone, because we are all equal in the grave. Live in the present moment be thankful for this moment this hour, don’t keep telling yourself I will wait, act on your goals now. Beauty dies , material things are not eternal , money is not happiness. I challenge all of you to be thankful every morning for a new day and for having breath in your lungs, for being able to do fitness. We take for granted that we can go to the gym, a lot of individuals who wished they could run or exercise but can’t for physical reasons should be our motivation for being thankful for your body and for being healthy.

I’ll be honest, I have been frightened to upload my progress before the full cut was finished until I arrived at the realization that none of us are finished products, we all learn and grow every single day, regardless of age. It’s important to show your journey instead of simply your destination. This was the first day I was able to complete a full back and biceps workout, getting good progress on my cut until I start having dreams of a meat lovers extra greasy 🍕 I love you all and have a great day!
November Cardio Challenge is definitely proving to be more of a challenge than in originally thought 😅. I woke up this morning with crazy chills and a pretty high fever, and to top it off I ended up collapsing on a previous hip injury mid stretch from who knows what. I’m so sad to be missing my second day of cardio November only the second week in 😩 but I’ve slowly and stubbornly learned not to push myself when I feel rundown because I ALWAYS end up worse 😂😅. Bladen Baird, Jesse Wenzlick, Chris Wyllie, Angela Flannery and Hari Veerakumar will all be stepping through the ropes, in what will be a busy night for Coaches Ayo Odeyale and Scott Ireland. The gym’s boxing program has gone through a resurgence, since their ‘Chief-Shouter’ returned to Australia after being deported, with Novice and State titles testament to their success. Angela Flannery will be taking on Amy Moutadhi, from Kings Academy, in what will be a colossal Women’s Super Heavyweight fight. Amy featured in the very first @sydneyfightleague show and is remembered for an exhibition bout that ended very abruptly and with some controversy. A reformed character, Amy has found a new home at Kings Academy and has massive ambitions. With both women coming in over 100kg, yet known to move and punch well, expect the unexpected. Bladen Baird will be taking on newly crowned Pan-Pacific Masters Champion, Tony Phillips, in a Heavyweight Bout. Baird has been selected to represent NSW at the National Championships and this will be ideal preparation. With both boxers known for their strength and power, expect heavy exchanges. The 2018 64kg Novice Champion, Jesse Wenzlick, will be aiming to maintain her unblemished record at the Paddo Punch-On. However, she faces her sternest test to date, when she steps up in weight to fight Steph Gravolin from Black Belt Pro. Gravoline is one of the most improved female boxers in NSW and has come on leaps and bounds under Cindy Boniface. Both boxers are known for their movement and footwork and fast-paced fight is guaranteed. The talented Taekwondo blackbelt, Chris Wyllie, will continue his transition to competitive boxing when he takes on North Sydney PCYC’s David Storey, in an exhibition bout. Last, but by no means least, is ‘Harry’ VeraKumar. The Sri Lankan lightweight has been working incredibly hard these past three months and has been rewarded, with a debut bout against Danny Fung. It's been said that "shoulders make the man." Update that to include "or woman" and you've got yourself an idea to get behind. 👉Shoulders, as opposed to other muscle groups which grow via a few main compound movements and heavy lifting, need a lot of everything. Why? Because different areas of the delt respond better to different types of stimulation. Rear delts respond best to high reps and a lot of time under tension. But to get thick, dense, and beefy front and middle delts, you'll have to do some heavy military or behind the neck pressing. There are two main keys to building shoulders: The first is variety (hitting different angles); the second is time under tension. The actual weight you lift here plays a secondary role when it comes to shoulders. I'm not saying you have to be shoulder pressing with 5-pound dumbbells, but super-controlled movement with perfect technique will go a long way.
