I like these drills with light bells before or after a planned GS training set. For snatch, try a simple swing-swing-snatch combo to help get sufficient momentum and practice timing for insertion. For jerks, try a bump-bump-jerk combo to focus on using your legs to propel the kettlebell up rathe than pressing with your arms. .

WAKE UP CALL
I had the kind of meeting today that made me feel more alive, more aligned and more focused on my goals.
Mentors see you in an unbiased and completely different light; which allows them to lead you into places that you didn't even think about. With that being said; I strongly encourage you to do your research and take the time to build a relationship with a mentor.
I always take the lessons I learn in life and see how they relate to the lessons I learn from my mat. Today, I noticed that in the way that I'm trying different things in yoga; I'm also trying new things in my career and man it feels GOOD.
In other words, commit, don’t quit.
Just because reaching your goals doesn’t fit with your ideal timeline, does NOT mean you failed. If you keep your head right, it just means you learn more along the way and you still succeed.
The dream: I thought it would take 4-6 months.
The reality: It took 9 months.
My goal was never to lose weight. I didn’t. I gained, on purpose. But it wasn’t numbers on a scale I cared about. I wanted muscle. I also had to be mindful of my love of running and endurance goals and stay realistic about keeping the balance. I’m very proud of the work I put into this journey and incredibly grateful and humbled by the support and encouragement I am blessed to have.
When you get to where you want to be, does the time and date really matter? That depends on your mindset.
Don’t let impatience discourage you. If you put in the work, you’ll get the results.
Hard work is never wasted. Believe in yourself and practice that self belief daily until it just becomes part of who you are and what you do. .

Milestone today because I surpassed the 1 million lbs moved/lifted in less than a month... Which means 1. The goal will keep doubling and 2. Severely underestimated (doubt) 3. It isn't so bad when you don't think about it. 4. It can be done, just set your goals and start now.
Moral is, keep fighting and pushing. Don't let the little things weight you down or hold you back. You're stronger than you realize. Just take that first step. We are all in this together!

It's hard for me to find photos of myself during those years... I was unhappy, I was tired, I not only put myself last - but self care didn't even make the list. When I first started my fitness and weight-loss journey, I made it all about the numbers... Counted calories, tracked every step, maxed myself out with high intensity work outs - and weight came off ... BUT I was quickly burning myself out, was always hungry, had a headache almost always... And despite having more energy at times, it was always followed by a very low energy crash.
It wasn't until I found a system that made sense, got smart about my nutrition and really focused on what my body needed to be it's best - did things really change. The fog literally lifted... my head was clearer, the headaches disappeared, the aches and pains stopped, I no longer had roller coaster energy levels. The bloating and indigestion went away and the pounds melted off. And I no longer had to kill myself in the gym to see results, I was able to cut those down to a third of the time and started focussing on actually getting stronger and better, not just thinner. And best of all, I am happier

Don’t value your body over your being. .
Photo on the right is my recent photoshoot and the left is the week of my first bodybuilding competition in March 2018, yes I’m lean, but girls this is not maintainable year round, as females we are supposed to have more body fat, it’s not healthy to be 10% body fat, it can affect your hormones, slows vitamin absorption, weakened bones, cause memory and concentration problems, and long term infertility. .
When you see these girls on stage in a Competition don’t be fooled that this is their year round body. Sure it’s aesthetically pleasing but it is not healthy for females especially, to be so lean for to long, we naturally hold more body fat than men for a reason. .
So next time your scrolling through Instagram or Facebook comparing yourself to all the fitness models out there just remember these are either old photos, or if they are maintaining that low body fat year round chances are they are doing long term damage to their health both physically and mentally. .
Be inspired by other for sure but don’t be fooled by what you see not everything in the internet is as it seems. .
My mission is to inspire as many women as possible to be confident in their own skin, to rock their bodies, to be strong in training and even stronger in life.
