I fuck*ng hated myself. And I don’t say that lightly. I hated that I wasn’t happy like other people or knew how to be fit + healthy... I hated that I was never able to say NO to the bar + after hour outings. It pissed me off that I couldn’t even cook a decent meal or have the motivation to even try. I despised the fact that I couldn’t look in the mirror without being disappointed with what I saw. This list can be a mile long but I’m hoping you get the freakin point. I’m not even gonna sit here + tell you to just “love yourself.” Because i mean really, if someone said that to me 4 years ago I’d laugh in their face + finish off my bag of my Doritos. I can however give you an explanation on how you can begin to find your passion + purpose in life. It all came down to CHOICES. I made a choice to leave my toxic relationship. YA of course it was hard as hell, but it was BEST for both parties. I made a CHOICE to quit smoking.- I made a CHOICE to lay off the booze.- I made a CHOICE to begin running. - CHOICES are NOT always easy but 99% of the time they’re WORTH IT. I could have easily not made these choices.... but if I hadn’t, I can guarantee I’d be working a shit job, drinking everyday, crying myself to sleep. I wouldn’t be married to muh BFF or know what real, hard work + freedom feels like. My soul would never be on fire if I never decided to replace the bad with the good..... and truth be told; that’s why I’m here. It’s hard to value life when you feel that low, but I want to show you that it’s fuck*ng possible. #TeamPositiveGrowth

It's that time of year, people are already looking for the magic solution. Forget all the detox and quick fix ‘diets’. The only thing a quick fix does is kick you back, HARDER! Do you want results you can keep? Don't fall into that emotional trap. You'll only hurt yourself. The results of these types of irresponsible approaches to fat loss is MORE fat GAIN over time and then an even HARDER time getting it off. THESE are the exact approaches that destroy long-term fat loss hope. The human body is a tremendously resilient machine – always working to protect your best survival interests. Your body regains lost fat and body weight far more quickly than it loses it. And if you lose weight in unhealthy ways and means and too quickly – this rebound is even more insidious and will take you well past regaining just the weight you lost and gaining much more beyond that as well. The real truth is that these "kick-starts" kick you back way, way harder because you get teased with short-term results (if any at all) while real consequences are building up. Then you're left with all the metabolic consequences and none of the results remain. What to do? It all comes down to giving it time and doing the work. I talk to so many people who are tired of how they feel and want to make a change. But, they come up with all the excuses to NOT make that change they want so badly. • Not too long ago I was that person with all the excuses. I was at my lowest point when I started my fitness journey. I just lost my dad tragically, just had my 4th child that was unplanned and unexpected, just moved to a different country away from my family where I didn’t know anyone. Most days I wouldn’t even get out of bed and suffered from the worst anxiety attacks I ever experienced. I had three kids and a newborn that kept me up all night. I was exhausted, depressed, and had absolutely no energy. But, I didn’t want to feel like that anymore. I knew I needed to do something not only for myself, but for my family. • At the beginning it was TOUGH! Most days my husband had to drag me out of bed. I was not a pleasant person. But I got up and hit play EVERYDAY! • Before I knew it, my energy levels increased. I wasn’t exhausted like before and some small piece of happiness was starting to come back. I woke up wanting to spend time with my family and be present. I can’t explain to you how it truly saved my life. • We come up with excuses because we are scared of the unknown. But I’m here to tell you to take that leap of faith. If you’re tired of how you feel, don’t let ANYTHING hold you back from making that change. The way you will feel on the other side is AMAZING! • Are you ready to drop the excuses and change your life?

A pair of strong calves will also make you HELLA 🧨 AND 💪🏾 . . One key note during the calf raises: do not bounce or use momentum. Squeeze at the top to maximize your gains!
