Here’s my brief and holistic take on Weight training & Cardiovascular training :- 📌Weight/Resistance training : •The only way to pack on muscles because it primarily works the high energy demanding fast-twitch(type II) muscle fibres and causes them to tear and repair through a process called muscle ‘hypertrophy’, thus increasing the myofibril density, i.e. BUILDS MUSCLE MASS! •WT also aids in tremendous FAT LOSS as it burns calories a lot FASTER than low-moderate intensity cardio in the same stipulated time span, if compared head-on. • Your body continues to burn calories off of fat even hours after training simply because of the high intensity strain you put your muscles through. As a result, WT aids in FAT LOSS while BUILDING or even PRESERVING muscle mass. •Research shows than WT also causes your body’s metabolic reaction rates to spike up, over time. Good thing! •Metabolic resistance training (CrossFit) is great way to build muscle and lose a ton of calories; Typically works better than cardio,in terms of fat loss. 📌Cardiovascular training: •The MAIN reason why we need cardio is because it lowers your resting heart rate over time, consequently making it do it’s work (pump blood) more efficiently, thus, in essence, boosting longevity and minimising the risk of heart ailments significantly. •CT Increases endurance (stamina) without a doubt, but it DOESN’T aid in muscle development as only the low energy demanding slow-twitch fibres (type I) are activated and no muscle hypertrophy is caused. •High intensity cardio (aerobic pathway) indeed does aid in significant calorific expenditure provided that you’re training in that high-intensity zone for a prolonged period of time, but it causes muscle shrinkage/loss too. •CT fitness basically reflects the functional capabilities of your heart, lungs, blood and relevant muscles during various types of exercise demands. In my opinion, we need to allot at least 30 mins of CT, 2-3 days/week in order to be physically well-rounded.

It’s exactly the same setup as a standard bench press. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⭕️ Keep your feet planted on the floor ⭕️Pin your shoulder blades back together and pinned to the bench ⭕️Create a natural arch on the bench. Don’t go mental and break your back ⭕️ Hand placement would be shoulder width at the widest or as close as feels comfortable for you ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Make sure that you keep good control of the weight throughout, and yes ladies, it’s a good one for you too but if it’s too heavy, use a preloaded smaller barbell instead. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Keep it nice and slow on the negative (way down) and pause for a second or two and then nice and explosive on the positive (all the way up). Make sure you don’t lock out your elbows at the top unless you want to be a contortionist after!
