I know I don’t post much about fitness/ health journey but just wanted to share some thoughts on mine. • • It’s about progress not perfection. Don’t wait until you have reached your goal to be proud of yourself, be proud of every step you take in the right direction. Stop focusing on the number on the scale and focus on how you feel. Don’t create restrictions but healthy habits. You will have days that suck but just keep moving forward and take it one day at a time. • • As of May I have been going to @xsportfitness and although I haven’t lost any weight I have gained ~6 lbs of muscle and lost ~ 4% body fat. I’ve found classes that I enjoy going to - find what you like if you enjoy it you will want to stick with it. I have currently hit a plateau with seeing any progress but I will keep pushing forward. • • What are your tips for when you are failing to see results?? • • Swipe over if ya wanna see me circa 2010 - back when I wasn’t concerned with my health/ fitness. • •

The one food apart from rice that pleases everyone in my home is pasta. It’s the one thing I can fall back on when I’m stumped for ideas, too tired or when I can’t deal with any food-related arguments (mums you feel my pain right 😩). - I made linguine with a 🍅 and mixed pepper sauce and tofu. The recipe requires oil, I’ve tried to make this without oil, but the flavour is not quite right. In fact, it misses the mark by a long stretch 😂. You know how you have recipes that you either make as it is or go home? 🍔SIMPLE VEGAN BURGER PATTIES🍔 Hello my loves, I need you to try this simple recipe for absolutely delicious vegan burger patties! I took me some time to optimize it but now I’m totally happy with how the patties turn out! 🍔➡️ Let’s get started: In your blender add the rinsed kidney beans, 1/4 cup water with vegetablebroth, garlic, onion and spices (salt, pepper, cumin) and blend. Place the dough into a large bowl and start adding flour until the dough becomes thick and easy to form (I use my hands for that). Form your burger patties and start roasting them in coconut oil until they turn golden. EQUALS appr. 4-5 patties! That’s it soooo simple but soooo delicious and healthy as well!!! Lots of good plant protein 😉😉. Life is f*cking hard and nothing is guaranteed. • I used to wake up in the morning and have to best intentions. I’d say to myself... “Today’s the day I’m going to get up and start”, as I fell back asleep... then I’d go to work... listen all day to elderly peoples stories of what they wish they would have done with their life. I’d pep talk myself on the way home saying I’d workout when I get home.... and then plop my ass on the couch with my fur babies and watch tv. • Life was passing me by everyday because at that point all that I wanted was the path of least resistance. And then reality finally hit me like a ton of bricks...Life is never going to slow down, your to do list will always be a mile long, and unexpected things good and bad will always happen when you least expect them. We have one life to live...time past is never refundable...be the change for you...live your only life as your best life! • I do this because I can, because there will be a day that I can’t. ❤️

RECIPE 📽 One of my 'go-to' breakfasts: 🍉 Overnight Oats 🍽 There are many variations of this breakfast idea, but this is how I usually make it. 🌸 PS I don't measure anything when I make these 🙈 Why? 🤔 Because, I believe in adding as much as you want of what you love most. For example, I love Khaki/Sharon fruit, so I add a lot of it 😋 Honestly, when it comes to overnight oats you can't ruin it by experimentation. 🍌 How To: 🍓 Add 1/4 amount of oats (depending on your container/bowl) 🍓 Add about 1 tbsp of Chia seeds (for puddingy/smooth texture (and awesome nutrients) - the more you put in, the thicker the texture will be 🍓 Add fruit of your choice (I used grated apple and sliced Khaki fruit) - about the same amount as oats 🍓 Add nuts of your choice (I used pecans, but cashews/chopped roasted hazelnuts also taste great 🍓 Crunchy linseed mix (my personal preference, but not necessary) - they add a bit of crunch and nice flavour 🍓 Plant-based (if you're vegan) milk of your choice (I used unsweetened almond milk) - the more you add, the more liquidy it'll be (approximately three times more milk than oats or as long as it covers the fruit and oats it should work great) 🍓 I recommend mixing everything first, then leave in the fridge for 30 min or overnight QUICK TIP: If you feel like it's too cold outside for overnight oats straight out of the fridge, then stick your container/bowl in the microwave for 1 min! It won't make a porridge out of it and will be nice and warm to eat. 👌👌👌 ENJOY 😘 . . . I’ve learnt a lot about nutrition, fitness and wellbeing over the past few years whether this is from my research, my trials or my errors. I’ve restricted food, trained in ways I didn’t enjoy, fallen off track, exercised like a crazy woman twice a day... but what I’ve learnt is that how you feel is wayyyyy more important than how you look. Your body does not determine your worth and you are never going to be ‘perfect’ in everyone’s eyes. Week 5 of the six week 6 Pack Vegan Challenge see all the other weeks @ben1.Ten. Finally gains are starting to show. All sit ups and eating good wholesome vegan food is starting to pay off.  It just goes to show you can build muscle on a vegan diet which many less knowledgable people would dispute. Just one more week left !!! Most Thanksgiving food is carb heavy and packed with sodium - which makes the scale go up. IT ISN’T FAT. If weighing yourself is just gonna mess with your head, it isn’t worth it! Your weight will come back down. - We put so much pressure and guilt on ourselves. Thanksgiving is one day! Be kind to yourself! Kindness, love, happiness and fun! 💕 RAWWWRRR!! 🦁

My new smoothie bowl favorite!! 1 frozen banana, 2 Tbsp pumpkin, 1scoop protein powder, unsweetened almond milk, nutmeg, cloves & allspice. Blend and top with favorites... I just did coconut bc that’s what I have (I need to go grocery shopping 😬) but nuts, fruit, cocoa nibs, cinnamon or anything else you can think of 😜 would be great toppings.
